5 out of 5 starsThese two bears are so adorable. I bought them the minute I saw them and am so so happy with them. Christine does such beautiful work. Her carvings are great. She is fast with the mailing and it comes all wrapped in a lovely box with fun tissue papers. I love collecting her work!!

5 out of 5 starsI asked Chris to carve three bears representing my three children I call “the three little bears”. She did a great job and actually caught the essence of my children. I’m thrilled with the finished product that arrived in a sparkly gift box. I plan to give each child (now adults with their own families) their own bear on their birthday. The only problem? Can I really part with these charming bears - of course I will!!

5 out of 5 starsOh this little bear is just adorable!! I love the grin on his face plus his nose and eyes. Makes for a most lovable bear!! His paws are great! Everything about it is wonderful! Christine is the best carver ever. She even sent a complimentary Santa face ornament that is whimsical and delightful. Can't wait for Christmas again to put it on the tree!! The quality of her work is top notch!!

The basic shape of the carving is worked in the round with large areas of excess wood carved away. -

The carving process slows down with smaller cuts being made with the knife to define the carving's features. -

Tiny detail work is done by taking slivers of wood away to create expressive body language and faces. -

Details are brought out with two to three coats of tung oil, which also seals and protects the wood. -

The carving starts with a flat pencil sketch cut out in silhouette.
