About

Stitch by stitch.

Hi! I am Natsu!!
Some of you might know the word Natsu means "summer" in Japanese. But my name is written in Hiragana , not written as summer in Chinese character. This name was given from my grand-ma. She was a teacher of Kimono seamstress.I worn her hand-sewn Kimono when I was a little girl. I think that is why I am interested in Kimono so much.
Myself studied Science of Clothing or Fashion at a private University located in Tokyo.I learned designs, colours, apparel marketing and lots there. After I got married, I got a mom in law who is a master of Japanese Traditional or Classic Dance, Nichibu. (And now I am very much into Nichibu myself!!)

Because of these background, I think I can advise you pretty good or "right" suggestion regarding Kimono and Japanese traditional items, considering the origins and the reasons of Japanese traditional patterns and motives. The knowledge from books and from mom in law and I think those are succeeded from my grand mothers too. (Grand mothers -my own and my hus's grandma, she was born in MEIJI period!!)

In the same reason, my Kimono scrunchy have always some meanings. I always sew them with wishes for my customers. My works are based on ; 1. Japananese traditional sewing methods (from my grandma), 2. From Knowledges at my University Degree, 3. From Experience as a sales of Kimono, Hanten, Souvenirs from Japan.

I wish you enjoy my Kimono schrunhie and my handicrafts.

Best regards,
Natsu

I am very happy to have this opportunity to offer you my Kimono scrunchy.
My scrunchies are all by my hand sewn at my cozy, SMOKE FREE, PET FREE studio.

Most of my scrunchies are made of old/vintage Kimono fabric (and sometime new one), the rest of my grandma's and/or mother's Kimono or other Kimono staff such as Obi(sash belt) and so on.
* I sometime use modern fabrics or vintage recycled fabrics. Whenever I do I will write it in the description of the each items.

I also handle Kimono items at my garage shop. Please visit and check it too.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I accept Paypal. (And you can also use your credit card through Paypal)

Money orders and cheques are not acceptable for me as it costs me too much handling fee from Japanese banks (It costs approx $30 at least ,double or triple sometime, to clear the money orders.)
Thank you very much for your understanding.

Or, if you can get an IPMO, "International" and "Postal" money order in your country (the money order is issued by Post Offices), I will happily accept it. Please convo me and let me work with you.

>>>>>>>>>>> INFORMATION and F.A.Q. <<<<<<<<<<

::Q:: How many times Natsu's scrunchie tie a ponytail?

::A:: In my case, I can tie around my ponytail as follows;
6 inches elastic used : double
8 inches elastic used : triple
*In future items I will add those information too.

::Q:: would like to have the same scrunchie the Natsu Store sold before.

::A:: Thank you for your checking my listings. Almost all my works are OOAK (One Of A Kind).
However, sometime I might make similar one according to availability of my fabrics. Please feel free to convo me.
In same reason, if you wish to have your original conbination scrunchie, I will gladly accept your custom order.
Thank you :)

::Q:: Is Natsu-san's scrunchie washable?

::A::Most of my scrunchies are made from SILK 100% fabric.
Is this washable??
The answer is YES!! and NO.
I washed my scrunchie. It has now wrinkles. I love this wrinkled scrunchie too. But if you do not want to get them on your silk scrunchie, please do not wash them, but just pat it by washing-benzine or oil type cleaner.

::Q:: I am looking at the a set of Two Eco Friendly Reusable Facial Cotton or coasters. Could the tenugui fabric really be used on the face and easy to take care?

::A:: Yes, I am sure they are good on skins and are very easy to be handled.

We use Sarashi as baby's diapers and for facial towel for wiping milk. I mean not all young moms, but traditionally we have used Sarashi or Tenugui like this.

Using and washing more, cotton will be really softer , more comfortable texture.

I am using them too. Actually I have only four pieces for myself. So I use ordinary facial cotton too when I do not laundry ; )
I also use them as Kleenex when I would like to wipe left creams from my hands.

You can machine wash this item. Just put it into your washing machine with other laundries!! It can be handled as same as ordinary towels.

If you have any questions, please convo me.
