About
Welcome, friend! I'm Natalie, but you can call me Natty.
I've always loved art. In elementary school, I looked forward to art class every week, and in college, I *almost* became an Art Ed teacher. It's a long story, but I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Communications degree instead, took jobs in Marketing/Advertising, and like many 20-somethings, I felt a little lost, unfulfilled and had no idea what I wanted to do "when I grew up." A series of events led me to where I am today, but the Jenna Lyons quote, "amazing things happen when you're having fun doing something you love," is exactly how this business came to be! Art has always been my calling. In my wildest dreams, I never thought I’d be able to make a living as an artist! I wouldn't be here without the support of my customers, family and friends, who I am so thankful for.
One of my favorite things to do is visit a new city or town and seek out the spots that make it truly unique. When I illustrate a map or skyline, I try to capture all of what makes a place special — the landmarks and quirky details that make locals proud to call it home. In 2010 I took a leap of faith and opened Natty Michelle Paperie (a play on my nickname, and of course, paper!) What started as an online stationery shop and a part-time hobby eventually evolved into a full-time gig, and I now sell a wide variety of prints and gift items that feature my original artwork and designs. I’m always daydreaming of what comes next! The world and all its gems — natural and man-made — supply me with never-ending inspiration.
I spend most of my days balancing my small business and loving on my husband, James, our toddler son, Archie, and our newest addition, baby June. In my spare time, I can be found walking around antique malls, binging on "The Real Housewives," and during football season, cheering on my Georgia Bulldogs! My first real muse was Athens, the Classic City, and I feel so lucky to call this charming town my home. Custom Art Requests
Natty Michelle Paperie is a one-woman operation -- with a shop baby to take care of, and another one on the way! -- so at this time Natalie is unable to take on custom art projects. We hope to offer this service again in the future, but at this time we are unable to confirm when this will be. The best way to get a print in your hands is to have a retailer in your area contact us about opening a wholesale account. Our business grows best by word of mouth, and we are so appreciative to those of you who pass our name along to other small businesses who may be interested in carrying our line!

We do not sell digital files of our artwork or product designs.
Customizing products
Mugs, party cups, magnets, stickers, letterpress coasters and art prints are not customizable. This includes names, dates, logos and business information.
Items that can be personalized, like stamps, notepads and select stationery, include info about how to personalize within the listing.
Koozies can be customized with names/wedding dates and include the NMP logo on the bottom of the koozie. Customization available for bulk orders only.
