As a medical professional in the surgical field, many of us express ourselves through our hats. Since we do not get to wear fun scrubs we wear fun hats that have been helpful to ease patients worries. I have personally had patients comment on our hats and how it helped distract them from the surgery ahead and feel more at ease. Hats can also be a team building experience as we have teams that have matching hats. Personally, I like to wear Disney hats on kids days while I am able to wear seasonal hats for holidays.
