After retiring from over 30 years as a science teacher, I decided that my next adventure was to combine my interests in geology & gemology as well as my enjoyment in making jewelry. Using extensive research of the energy characteristics of natural gemstones I created a line of jewelry focusing on the energy of the stones. Thus Natural Energy Jewelry (NEJ) was born. Each piece of jewelry is made of natural stone beads and comes with a card describing the energies of the stones.
Over the last few years I've realized that many of my combinations have been put together intuitively. I learned this from friends who are intuitive themselves. They taught me how to pay attention to my intuition. Who knew...

All styles are designed with at least 2 different natural stone beads combined to compliment and focus the specific energy characteristics. My pendants and necklaces are designed aesthetically as well as intuitively.

Having supported my mother and 2 sisters through cancer treatments I designed Cancer Care/Healing Support and Fortitude bracelets as well as Care Giver bracelets. I created the Hope & Optimism bracelet for friends who felt scared or depressed by negative news in the world. I designed the Love, Empower, and Voice bracelets during the Woman's March and Me Too movements. A close friend lost her son tragically so I was compelled to make the Love Lost bracelet to support her through the pain of grief & loss.

I love the challenge of designing jewelry for specific purposes. Don't hesitate to ask me to design one for your purpose. This could be a group of friends, a support group, special event etc.

My love of travel takes me to the southwest where I find beautiful natural gemstone feature beads that I transform into lovely necklaces. These necklaces are inspired by nature and the beads themselves. They are one of a kind.
