About

Who am I?

Hey all! I'm a simple norwegian man, hailing from the frozen north (Tromsø, to be exact). A "few" years ago, I went to something called a Folk High School (it's a Scandinavian thing), and there I was taught how to make knives. Since then I have been nursing a small passion to create things from wood, bone and other natural items.
I started making necklaces while working as a musher in Karasjok, Northern Norway. While doing my daily chores in the dog yard (read; Poop scooping), I was looking at all the differently shaped pieces of bone lying around from the dogs snacks, and figured maybe I could put them to use somehow. After a few trial and error-pieces, I've ended up with the products that are in my shop today.

Frequently asked questions

Material Hygiene

All bone is washed properly, and sanded heavily to remove any material that may rot. The wood is properly dried for a long time before use, and also cut and sanded several times. At the end, they are coated with oil and a wax polish, so they will be safe for use.

Material Sourcing

All wood is taken from sustainable forest, and as long as it's feasible, without cutting down the entire tree or bush. The bones are leftovers from the local butchers.

Custom and personalized orders

As I am not running this shop full-time, it's difficult for me to say how long it will take to create something personal. It also depends on what the customer wants and how technically challenging it will be. If you are interested in a custom item, contact me directly and we'll see if we can make an agreement.

Are my dogs actually eating bone?

Yes, they are. I have three Alaskan Huskies that have been gnawing on bones since they were puppies, and they have no problems eating and breaking them up now, as adults.
