These earrings are so sweet, just the shade of pink I was looking for to match a favorite scarf!

This necklace is such fun, and I've already been able to wear it with so many different outfits. I really can't decide which piece I've bought is my favorite :-)

It's so hard to choose, but this set just might be my favorite! It's sweet and a little funky at the same time, and the necklace is truly a "statement" piece. I have a blouse almost exactly the same shade of purple that I can't wait to wear with it--and I'm going to have to hide from my mother when I do, because I know she's going to want it! Ha ha :-)

I love the earthy colors of this set--I have blond hair and brown eyes, and my mother told me that the necklace and earrings looked terrific with my coloring. This is such a lovely set, unique and intricate!

As with everything you've made, Patsy, this necklace is just beautiful. I truly can't look at your shop without wanting to purchase just about everything in it! You show such creativity and artistry in your pieces, and everything you make is truly unique. I'm so pleased to have so many of your exquisite works of art--I feel like I'm wearing a glamorous statement piece every time I wear something you've made. And I always get so many compliments! Thank you so much for your beautiful work, your kindness, and for always taking such care with not just your jewelry, but the entire process--order status, the beautiful packaging, mailing everything securely, and following up. You truly know the meaning of customer service--which is why I'm a repeat customer ;-)

The earrings are even lovelier in person than in the photos, and they arrived incredibly quickly and packaged very safely and nicely. Thank you so much for the beautiful earrings, and for being such a diligent seller!

About

“Creativity is intelligence having fun” Albert Einstein

My first creative experience with wire took place many years ago when I was in grade school. The teacher brought in a huge cable with dozens of smaller brightly colored wires twisted inside. We each received a one foot section and were told to make something with our fist full of wires. I was in heaven!

This same teacher would occasionally declare an art day, which meant spending a whole day working on creative projects. It was her way of giving her artistic students a day to feel intelligent. Eat your heart out, Mr. Math genius! Those days were my days to shine.

I’ve always been a creative individual. I can’t help it...It’s inbred...my God given bent and something I can’t escape. Over the years I’ve dabbled in various projects with all kinds of materials. Several years ago when our family was growing, I gave up my craft room so we could give our boys their own separate bedrooms. I was forced to downsize and focus on one creative endeavor. I chose beading.

With beading, came the basic skill of working with wire and as my skills improved, my techniques expanded. I have become completely intrigued with these beautiful metal strands. I have also learned some simple techniques that are crucial when working with wire. In fact, working with wire is sometimes a lot like working with people.

For example...

Wire comes in a wide range of sizes, colors and characteristics.
The differences are what make each one unique and special.

Working with wire takes practice and patience and attention to detail.

Wire gets bent out of shape with rough handling and breaks when it’s overworked.

Wire is flexible and forgiving (to a point).
And is easier to work with when treated kindly and gently.

A few months ago, my wonderful hubby put his creative intelligence to work and remodeled my work space, Now as I sit at my desk, I look through a large window into the green woods behind our house. On brighter days, I get the sun on my face in the afternoon and I have more organized storage space. Thank you, Dear!

If you've made it through this long winded story, thank you! I appreciate you stopping by my shop. I hope you enjoy your purchases as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them for you.

Sitting at my new desk I look out a large window to the woods behind our house. In the afternoon, the sun shines on my face and once in a while our little bird will whistle while I work. It's quite therapeutic.

Hello. and welcome to The Wire Rose.
I believe in making your shopping experience pleasant and enjoyable. I strive for excellence in workmanship, transactions, communications and descriptions of merchandise.

Some of my handmade pieces have upcycled components incorporated into them. If components are vintage, I will try to note any significant wear. Vintage elements often have an aged patina that adds to the character of the piece and is part of the intentional design. Please don't hesitate to ask questions...I'm convo friendly! :-)

Your input and advice is important to me. So, please don't hesitate to let me know if there is something I can do to make your shopping experience easier.
Thank you! Enjoy your shopping!
