About

Uplifting, inspiring and uniting 5.5 million veteran caregivers

I founded New Rosie to be the company I needed 10+ years ago when my husband returned from his last deployment to Iraq. I use my art and design skills along with my experience as a veteran wife and caregiver to bring products that uplift, inspire and unite the more than 5.5 million people caring for veterans in our country today, whom I lovingly call the New Rosies.

No longer are we Rosie the Riveters, making planes and bombs in factories while our loved ones are serving in a war with an end date. Today we are Rosie the Caregiver – caring for our veteran’s unique needs after they return home from each deployment. We make medical appointments, manage VA paperwork, organize calendars, sit in waiting rooms with impatient children, research new treatments, search for veteran service organizations who can help, and SO much more.

Today’s Rosie is just like the Rosies of the WWII era in many ways: we quietly work in our homes caring for our families with little to no pay, recognition or help; we use the skills we have to help our veterans however we can and seek resources to aid them where we can’t; and we do it all because of a fierce love and commitment we have to serve our veteran and our families.

If you spend time and effort caring for a veteran you love, then you too are a New Rosie.

The New Rosie is strong, even though she may sometimes feel weak. She is part of a family of 5.5 million others like her, even though she might feel alone. New Rosie is connected to a history of women who came before her and paved the way so this time around – we don’t have to suffer in silence behind our perfect 1950s dresses and curled hair.

Today, we can share in our struggles and remind each other we ARE strong. And we CAN do this.

We, are the New Rosie.
