Fast shipping and amazing wrought iron hooks! Great craftsmanship !!!! Love them!
Handcrafted on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, by traditional blacksmith Erik Newquist.
It was love at first sight; the anvil, forge, fire and hammer.
It all started in my dad’s woodshed with a smoky coal forge when I was 16 yrs old. Seventeen years later, the love affair burns bright. To forge tools and fixtures with my hands that stay with a family for generations is an honor and delight.
I build each tool, hook, candlestick individually using traditional blacksmithing techniques. Steel is heated to a red glow in my handbuilt forge and then shaped over the anvil with a hammer that I forged.
I know the joy of using good tools, the joy of crafting and working till sweat and breath make me feel alive. My mission is everyone out gardening and crafting again, using their hands and bodies for the joy of creating something good, something real.

All ironwork is finished with linseed oil and beeswax. This finish can last for years indoors, or for the garden tools, if they are cleaned and stored dry after each use. Should any rust develop here are the steps to care for your metal work:
1. Use steel wool or a wire brush to remove rust
2. Apply a thin coat of linseed oil, tung oil, or mineral oil
3. Wipe excess oil with a cloth and allow to dry
