Designing Moments That Matter
Sixteen years ago, my journey into the event world began with designing wedding invitations for a friend. What started as a small creative favor quickly blossomed into a full stationery and event décor business, and eventually led to opening our own event venue.
For years, I wore every hat in the industry planner, designer, setup crew, balloon artist, creative director working hundreds of events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale and corporate celebrations. Every event was a labor of love. We grew our venue into the #1 venue in our city, voted in 2024, and while the success was real, so was the cost.
I once landed in the ER from pure exhaustion after an event setup. Another time, I tested positive for COVID the morning after a full install. I even styled an entire Sweet 16 wearing an eye patch after damaging my retina with roses. Weekend after weekend, I was celebrating everyone else’s milestones while missing time with my own family. That’s when I paused and took stock.
What mattered most was still creating but creating with intention, balance, and joy.
Behind the scenes, I had always been doing what I loved most: designing. Using tools like Photoshop, I created custom invitations, signage, and full design suites for our venue clients, knowing the invitation sets the tone for the entire event. Designing graphics always was a passion.So I made a brave choice. We closed our venue and returned to the heart of it all.
Today, Next Level Paperie is where my passion lives on through thoughtfully designed party prints created with love, detail, and deep industry experience. This shop allows me to serve clients in a meaningful way, share my designs with the world, and still be present for the moments that matter most at home.
