Beautiful, unique, handcrafted and always made in Maine.

In 1987, Gregg and Gloria purchased Nezinscot farm from Gregg’s parents Waren and Marguerite Varney. Gregg and Gloria have five children, all of whom participate in maintaining and running the family farm and business. They pick eggs, milk cows and goats, feed the animals of the farm and help with the harvest.

Nezinscot Farm began as the first Organic Dairy in the state of Maine. Through the desire to diversify, the passion for good food and sustainability they expanded Nezinscot Farm to encompass a Gourmet Food Shop, Cafe & Bakery, Fromagerie, Charcuterie, and Fiber Studio .

Yarn & Fiber Studio is more than just a yarn shop where you can splurge on the latest knitting, weaving and spinning supplies, or stock up on the seasons hottest colors. Its a space to help foster creativity, become inspired and learn something new ! We have a full range of our own natural & dyed yarns, yarn & roving from top brands across the U.S., knitting, spinning and weaving accessories, hand crafted items from local artists and so much more ! The Yarn & Fiber Studio also hosts fiber retreats and a variety of fiber classes/workshops throughout the year. Our yarn & roving comes from our own flock of Cormo and Shetland sheep, llama, alpaca, and goats. Our wool is blended and spun at New England spinneries into 2 and 4 ounce skeins. Our Linsey-Woolsey Line: We have added our fine wool into the weft of a linen warp to recreate a Linsey-Woolsey line of blankets and throws. This material absorbs moisture from the body, creates a more comfortable sleep environment, and provides excellent warmth and insulation. Your comfort is guaranteed.
