And it is a perfect counterpoint to the cardinals I see outside my kitchen window. Since the showy males get all the attention I wanted to put a female into the place of honor and this small painting does just that.

A little bit about myself and my shop.
I have always loved animals and loved to draw them since I was 2 years old. In 2015 I started painting animals in acrylics. I’ve owned many different kinds of animals and have worked for two different verterinary hospitals. Nothing seems more natural than to combine my two passions and share my joy of the natural world with others.
To help make the world a better place, I donate 10% of all original artwork sales to the Animal Welfare Institute. They work to improve the lives of animals in all capacities and situations.
Etsy seems like the perfect fit for me as smaller “Mini Works” and painted Rocks are the perfect size for traveling cross country to you!
