A note from Nicole

For the past couple of months I have been working on re-branding my textile and accessory business. I love what I do but I realized that I wasn’t happy with the direction that I was taking. There didn’t seem to be any real purpose to what I was doing. So I decided to focus on three glaring issues I see in the world today: the future of the environment, the state of the economy, and the importance of philanthropy. How am I planning on doing this, you ask? Here’s how:

The Environment:
*By purchasing organic and naturally dyed fabrics
*By purchasing all raw materials within the United States; lessening my carbon footprint
*By creating classically beautiful accessories that will not be discarded next season. Because, otherwise, what’s the point, right?

The Economy:
*By purchasing all materials needed to create the bags from American small businesses
*By having my fabrics produced by textile mills in the United States
*By hiring freelance pattern and sample makers as well as New York based small run manufacturers for production

Charity:
*By donating 10% of the profit made on the sale of a bag to a charitable organization
*By helping raise awareness of various non-profits through social networking and new media
