Hidden Treasure

I started my shop because I enjoy shopping on etsy and online, almost as much as I like tromping around the city looking for 'buried' treasure.

Often, in both cases, a glorious item can be found quite by accident - I love the serendipity of 'stumbling' over an unexpected gem.

It's not so much that an item may be valuable, but that it strikes some chord with me - it's old, it's interesting, weird, beautiful, unique or historical. I think that's what is fascinating about old things - they have a story to tell.

I often have to ferret out information on a found object, and sometimes discover a complex history associated with something rather ordinary. Research is just another 'treasure hunt', really.

Oh, and the little fellow on my banner? He is a four legged 'thing' made of wood - one of the many weird little things I've acquired over the years - I don't know what he is - a toy perhaps? Frankly, I don't care much what he is, but that he IS.

United States Postal Money Orders ONLY. No other money orders accepted.

Cancellations are only accepted BEFORE shipping label is printed.

• Please ensure your Etsy account information is current and accurate. Buyer is responsible for additional delivery costs that are a result of inaccurate shipping information. After ordering, check your CONVOs or email for updated shipping information.

• All packages will leave my home within 3 business days of purchase or sooner. I ship USPS First Class, Priority, or Fedex Ground at my discretion with tracking information - I use the most economical shipping method unless you specifically request another option.

• Fedex will not deliver to PO boxes. If your Etsy address is a PO box, You must provide a legitimate home or work address before I ship.

******I will issue a refund for the difference on shipping if the price between actual and listed is more than $1.00. The rates displayed are for shipping to the East Coast or furthest destination - Contact me PRIOR to purchase, and I can adjust the shipping price for your zone - otherwise, I will issue a refund for the difference thru PayPal or Etsy.********

• Please CONVO me to bring it to my attention if I fail to issue your shipping refund - It's most likely an oversight on my part, not a deliberate act to make money on shipping.

• Gift Purchases - I ship to your Etsy address unless you make a special request in the comment section, but follow up with a convo to ensure your purchase goes to your gift recipient.

• Insurance - I typically do not insure packages, unless they exceed a certain price, or are extremely fragile. I find packing carefully is the best insurance. However, if in the unfortunate instance your package arrives broken, I will issue a refund. Simply email me a photo of the broken item.

• INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: I will ship to other countries. Shipping typically takes anywhere from 5 days to several weeks. There is no tracking information available on most international shipments.

• INT'L CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYIING ALL IMPORT DUTY, tax, and fees which MAY be collected by their country - these fees are not included in the price of your purchase. To avoid delays and misunderstandings, we declare the exact purchase price as the value of the goods when completing the customs declaration.

• I do my best to provide a clear description and quality photos for your consideration. Your computer image may look different than mine. If you are using a smart phone or small device to look at photos, the actual item will probably be different in color - if you have any concerns, please CONVO any questions.

• If you have any questions about a size or measurement or need additional photos please CONVO me. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have before your purchase. You will feel confident making your purchase.

• If you are unhappy with your item, I will issue a full refund when the item is returned to me in the same condition it was received. Buyer is to provide tracking information to me, and the item packed as it was received.

• The cost of return shipping is paid for by the buyer.

• Purchases that are returned to me due to inaccurate information provided by the buyer will not reship - I will cancel the transaction, and refund the cost of the item - shipping costs incurred will not be refunded.

• Purchases that are lost in transit due to inaccurate information provided by the buyer will not be refunded.
