About NinaNgArt

Sales 601
On Etsy since 2012

Started out looking for a V-Day gift and a year later I have an Etsy Shop!

I was watching a movie and in the movie there was a part where the main character wrote a love letter to her lover. She used real flowers to decorate the letter and it looked so beautiful. As I was watching, I was wondering if I could do the same thing for my Valentine's Day gift to my husband. Instead of a love letter, I wanted to decorate a picture frame with the flowers and put our engagement picture in it. The result was surprisingly beautiful, well, to me at least. I'm a girl who is very sentimental and loves to make my gifts instead of going out and buying one. For the last ten years, I've been making cards and drawings as gifts for our anniversary, his birthday and valentine’s day, etc. I tried to make a few before I made the one for my husband and the few that I made are still hanging on my living room walls today. I arranged the flowers in a heart shape for the one I made for my husband. I loved the way it came out and it looked so colorful and alive. I enjoyed making them so much that I continue to make more. I ended up making so many that I eventually gave them away as gifts. I gave them out as gifts but I still had so many, so my sisters suggested that I sell them online. That's how I found Etsy and started my shop.

I am currently working full time and attending school. Making pressed flowers mats and picture frames along with other DIY projects are my way of relieving the stress in my life. It helps me balance my life as a mom and stay sane. Plus it’s fun!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

CUSTOM ORDERS (non-refundable):
I love designing new and unique pieces! If you have some ideas for a design that you do not see in my shop, please contact me and I would be happy to work with you to create a gift that’s yours and yours alone. Please contact me to discuss pricing / placement.

DO I SELL THE FRAMES BY ITSELF?
Unfortunately, I do not. All my frames are sealed shut so you will not be able to take it apart without breaking the glasses.

WHAT SIZES AND SHAPES ARE AVAILABLE?
Any sizes for square and rectangle frames. I'm not a pro at glass cutting so only square and rectangular shape is available.

Care instructions

To minimize fading of pressed flowers follow these simple precautions:
• Avoid displaying pressed flowers in direct sunlight.

Cleaning Instructions

TO CLEAN THE GLASS:
Use glass cleaner and wipe clean only. Or fill a spray bottle with 1/2 water, 1/2 rubbing alcohol, spray on, wipe dry and let air dry! Dust disappears!

DO NOT PUT FRAME UNDER RUNNING WATER OR SUBMERGE IN WATER TO CLEAN THE GLASS.

TO CLEAN THE COPPER FRAME:
Copper will naturally tarnish over time, due to its exposure to the air and the sweat on your skin. Because of this, some copper metal is sold with a coating to prevent tarnishing but it can still slightly oxidized.

Option 1: use Penny Brite. Do Not Submerge the panel under water. Instead, wipe off the Penny Brite using a damp cloth. Do it until it feels like the Penny Brite is gone. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3jTASe-Dx4)
