it was beautiful when i opened it, but it tarnished after only a day of wearing it. It began changing the color of the skin after only a few day...would've loved it if it kept it's shine.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you're disappointed in your ring! Unfortunately I can't do much at this point, but I will change the description of this item so that potential customers are aware that this item is made of untreated brass and will tarnish. Nina

About

Jewelry and Life

I was born and raised in Seattle and went to college at the Rhode Island School of Design for my BFA in Jewelry & Metalsmithing. I have always been artsy and crafty, and got into jewelry making in highschool when I started making woven bracelets out of beads. The summer after sophomore year I attended a summer jewelry program at Pratt Institute in New York, and learned how to make jewelry out of metal. At that point I knew I wanted to go to art school and major in jewelry. RISD taught me many jewelry skills and techniques, as well as other craft skills, time-management, attention to detail, and self-motivation. Since graduating RISD, I've set up my own jewelry studio with all the tools and supplies I need to continue creating work. I've also surrounded myself with a circle of friends, peers, and mentors who are heavily involved in the jewelry community in Seattle and motivate and inspire me. Jewelry is a big part of who I am. I love it so much because I believe it represents how humans interact with themselves and each other. I want to share my passion for creativity and wearable art by connecting with others who appreciate the hand-made.
