About

Out of great Struggle I received a great Beginning

I have been influenced from such a great melting pot of creative people in my life. My Grandma's Silk Quilts or the many talented knitters and crocheters or embroideres I have met through out my life.
Born and raised in Germany and born to Turkish parents, I have experienced a wealth of different crafts.
Especially the turkish women that would sit outside their houses and knit and crochet all day long. The German ladies that would tell me stories of how knitting was very important during the World wars, which was also one of the only sources of creating fashion on a budget.
I have always knitted and crocheted. I cannot remember how I learned it or where I learned it from. All I know is, that I always did and would create things for family members and my babies.
It never occured to me, that I could make a living out of it, until my husband was laid of in the first big wave of lay offs before the economy went down hill.

To me the hard times were a blessing, it pushed me to overcome my fears and helped me to push me towards a new level.

The level of indepence and being my own boss, which I always had the desire to be.
I refuse to believe that all this is my own doing. I am a firm believer, that I know my Lord, My God and my Saviour had HIS hands all in it and helped me to push me forward to show me a life beyond that which I had before.

I am very humbled when I think about where I was and where I am at now.

Now living in the US, the US has proved itself to me as my PROMISE land. I always admired the USA and would dream about living here and so today, living here and being my own boss and having my wonderful Husband and my Kids surrounding me, makes me the most blessed woman in the world. :)

I can help out my husband with whatever we need and my kids have already started to think about which businesses they will be creating when they grow up, and this is a gift I am blessed to give them one day. This is my wish.

I am thankful for God to provide for me in bad days and good days, I am thankful that He is always with me and fills me with creativity which shows up in my designs. Also, besides being so happy about what I am doing, I am in awe about the most wonderful friends I have made on Etsy.

Customers became my long lasting friends. I am a better person today, because I am being surrounded by such wonderful Customers. I am actually always at home and always tell them to write me whenever they like. Even if it isn't hat or design related. Since I am available, the least I can do is to be available for whatever.

PLEASE ENSURE TO NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD ALONE WITH ANY HATS ON, TO ENSURE THAT THE BABY WILL NOT PULL ON POM POMS OR APPLIQUES!!! I always make sure that my sewn items and Pom poms are secure, but you can never be safe enough. :) Thank you so much!!!

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Please if you have any problems with your order.
All babies and children are unique and it can happen, that the US standard size knitted hats will fit differently according to childs size. So if you think it's too big or too small, I would absolutely exchange it for another customized hat.

I understand, that it can happen sometimes that maybe some stitches come lose. Even though I try my best to stitch them securely, it can happen that some dotts come lose or unravel. If that is the case with your hat and you have purchased it within 3 months, I will gladly sew them back on for you. :)

All Items in new condition can be returned for a full refund minus shipping costs or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. If you would like to return or exchange it, you would have to pay the shipping cost for that. Please email or convo me, before you would like to return/exchange an item.

TRACKING AND LABEL REQUIREMENTS
In compliance with the new TRACKING AND LABEL requirements here is the information about the Manufacturer and the place I purchase my yarn and felts.

YARN Manufacturer: Caron International, Washington, NC 27889, www.caron.com, and www.coatsandclark.com

FELT Manufacturer: The Kunin Group, a division of Foss Manufacturing Company, LLC, www.kuninfelt.com
This felt is an Eco-Fi, Polyester made from recycled postconsumer plastic bottles, 100% made in the USA.
All my yarn and felts are purchased at the Michael's Arts and Crafts stores in Virginia, and online shops in the US.
The yarn I use, which is from Caron, is 100% Acrylic, and my newest yarn is a Red Heart Yarn 100% Acrylic as well.

In compliance with the CARE AND LABELING RULE here are the washing instructions:
Machine washable, machine wash cold on gentle cycle and do not dry in dryer but lay flat to dry, do not under any circumstances iron the items I make, because they will lose shape. Or handwash with cold water and lay flat to dry. Do not dryclean.
