5 out of 5 starsMaria’s hand dyed yarn is beautiful. She uses colours from nature and advocates non-super wash yarn as her preference. This wool is 100% sheep!
You should check out her podcast.....Ninja Chickens on you tube and Instagram to learn how she produces these lovely yarns and other lovely things on her homestead. -

5 out of 5 starsI purchased two of these indigo tea towels and I am very happy with them. I love the color and the patterns and the cotton feels substantial.

Hand Crafted Fiber Arts and Herbals with a personal touch!
Ninja Chickens is an adventure! It is a way to bring health and happiness into your home through herbal teas, ecoprinted color, tasty balms, colorful yarns, and textured jewelry. This is what I love.
I tried for many years to fit myself into a certain mold, but working 9-5 didn't make me happy. I've found that when my hands are in the dirt my spirit feels light. I enjoy the challenge of creating new herbal formulas that assist in just the right way. And when I'm surrounded by colorful wool, silk, alpaca.... my mind spins with ideas of all I can create. This brings me joy. I hope you feel that when you hold one of my creations in your hands.
I also believe in treating our earth and all her creatures with kindness. My herbal formulas are made with sustainably and organically grown herbs. Grown in my own garden when possible. My fibers are harvested from loved and cared for animals. And if the fiber is dyed by me, it is done naturally, with plants and minerals. I try my hardest to leave this earth a better place for my children.
And, Yes, I do have chickens... 15 of them!

Hello! My name is Maria and I'm glad you are here. It's hard to describe myself simply, as like many of you, I wear a number of hats. But, here, you can just call me a Nurse-Herbalist and Fiber Artist. Nice to meet you!
