The first flute I ever made was for my wife. Not knowing anything about flutes I researched the process and made a very basic flute that barely played. I enjoyed the process and after the first few flutes made, I was hooked and have since made hundreds of flutes in all sizes and shapes. While I have been doing woodworking projects most of my life, music is very new to me. The flute is an excellent way to express yourself and can aid in a meditation practice. The real joy is sharing my passion with others.
Most recently I got very interested in quilting. While flutes and quilting have little in common, both require a great deal of practice, technical knowledge, patience and a willingness to learn.
I have a number of quilters in my family, however really took the plunge after attending the 2022 Modern Quilt show in Phoenix. I purchased a longarm quilting machine and have been creating quilts since March. Naturally my first quilts revolve around flute playing and generally the american southwest. I will be adding a number of quilts as they are completed and available for sale.
