5 out of 5 starsI really love this scent. The product has a very smooth and velvety texture that is nice as well. It does not bother my sensitive skin. I bought two scents, and cannot wait to try the other one. It is also quite effective, and the scent lasts nicely, but is not overpowering. SUPER fast shipping.

5 out of 5 starsI purchased this for my 6 year old. She has a lot of trouble sleeping at night on a regular basis. She loves having this rubbed on her feet every night before bed. So does my 16 year old.

5 out of 5 starsI have not been able to wear deodorant since 2007. I've tried everything on the market and had some kind of reaction to everything. You know it's bad when your kids make comments about your BO... even after you've showered that day... twice...
A few weeks ago, I heard about this product on facebook in a group I'm in. I decided to give it a try. I've been very pleased with the results. No more rude comments from my kids about my BO. I haven't had any reactions, at all. -

5 out of 5 starsIt is a delightful creamy lotion — very moisturizing but not greasy. The scent is light and from essential oils. I am very sensitive to artificial fragrance and chemical additives so finding this product was a gift from God!

Lotion in the making.

Good enough to eat.
My search for all natural, non-toxic skin care led me to create my own!
I started making my own lotions back in 2003 when I was diagnosed with various health issues, including hormone imbalance. Many skin care products contain parabens (among other harmful chemicals), which are xenoestrogens that are harmful to your body and disrupt hormone balance. Between 2011 and 2012 I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella, and Ehrlichia. It became more and more important to me to live as non-toxic as possible in a rather toxic world. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and absorbs everything. If I can't eat it, I wouldn't put it on my skin!
Making my own skincare products became a passion of mine and I started giving my products to friends and family as gifts, while simultaneously doing more research and perfecting my recipes. Earlier this year I added the antimicrobial artemisinin to my lotions to further help my healing. When I gave my doctor a sample she said she really liked it and to let her know when I am ready to sell it. Given the feedback I was getting on the lotion, and many friends, family, and my doctor encouraging me to sell my lotion, I decided to start an online business and No Junque Skincare was born.
My husband came up with the name and he designed our beautiful labels and logo. Keeping it “green”, we chose labels that peel off easily with hot water and glass jars so that you can reuse the glass jar when you have finished the lotion. Another reason we chose glass (over plastic) is because plastic leaches toxic chemicals into the contents of the jar. We chose the cobalt blue glass not only because it is beautiful, but to protect the essential oils in our lotion from being damaged by light.
Our Ingredients:
Artemisinin
Artemisinin is a derivative from the herb wormwood and it is a very effective antimicrobial. It is often used to treat intestinal parasites and drug resistant malaria. **Please consult with your doctor before purchasing our skin care products which contain artemisinin!
Coconut Oil
Physiologist and biochemist Ray Peat, Ph.D. believes that coconut oil reduces our need for antioxidant protection of vitamin E. He considers coconut oil an antioxidant due to its stability and resistance to oxidation and free radical formation.
Experts believe that coconut oil may help restore more youthful-looking skin. It can help to restore the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by helping to keep your connective tissues strong and supple. It can also aid in exfoliating the outer layer of dead skin cells, thereby possible making your skin smoother.
Jojoba Oil
Pure Jojoba, pronounced ho-HO-ba, is actually not an oil (it does not contain triglycerides), but rather a liquid wax ester very similar to the esters we produce in our skin. Because of this waxy ester it penetrates and moisturizes extremely well. Jojoba “oil” is extracted from the seeds of the Simmondsia chinensis plant. We use only 100% pure and organic Jojoba oil in our skin care products.
Kpangnan Butter
Kpangnan Butter (pronounced PAN-ya) has a smooth silky texture with an aroma similar to cocoa and Shea butter mixed together. It is said to be more moisturizing than Shea butter and studies have found that it contains high amounts of stigmasterol, and usaturated plant sterol that has anti-inflammatory properties.
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)
Methylsulfonylmethane is an organic sulfur compound which is found naturally in many of the foods we eat. When applied topically, it has a deeply penetrating effect on the skin and has the unique ability to penetrate several skin layers. The latter allows for a more deeply hydrating and smoothing effect for longer periods of time. Great for everybody and particularly for those of us with overly dry and/or mature skin.
Olive Oil
Olive oil contains linoleic acid, a compound not made by the body, which prevents water from evaporating. This is part of the reason olive oil is a great skin moisturizer. Like coconut oil, it also contains antioxidants. It is a common folk remedy for very dry skin and usually does not cause a reaction.
Shea Butter
The fat of the nut of the African Shea tree is the source of Shea butter. It is said to have anti-inflammatory properties and healing qualities. Shea butter is often used to reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars and stretch marks, and to ease a variety of skin irritations, such as psoriasis, eczema and sunburn
Vitamin C, Celtic Sea Salt, and Melaleuca Essential Oil
We use these three ingredients as our natural preservatives. In addition to being essential to the body, vitamin C is also a potential cancer fighter and works by binding to moisture. It can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making it an excellent natural skin plumper. It helps your skin repair and regenerate itself after suffering from dryness, environmental stresses or irritation. Celtic sea salt has antibacterial properties and Melaleuca (Tea Tree) essential oil is a natural antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic.
