5 out of 5 starsThe blanket is beautiful, well made and sure to be a family heirloom for generations past mine. My wife was thrilled to get it and it was an instant favorite. Thank you.

5 out of 5 starsI ordered the Alice in May, and it delivered beyond expectations. Dianne Nordt weaves such soft, beautiful blankets from her sweet sheep, I am just over the moon for this blanket. Each blanket is handwoven, with a lovely tag w/ handwritten signature, date and unique number. Each is a one-of-a-kind. It’s just so special - I’ll treasure it always.

About NordtFamilyFarm
-
-
I raise a small flock of Merino sheep on my farm in Virginia. My sheep are white, brown, gray, and black.
-
Each Spring a shearer visits the farm and trims the wool from each sheep. We are careful and slow with each sheep.
-
The wool is sorted, skirted, and sent to a woolen mill in Michigan to be cleaned and spun into yarn.
-
I use only natural plant and protein dyes such as cochineal, turmeric, indigo, osage, and black walnut to dye the wool.
-
Together with my team, I design and hand weave Merino wool blankets using naturally colored and hand-dyed wool.
