Welcome to my Etsy shop, Northern Possessions Ceramic & Art Glass Studio.

I began my love of glass by learning stained glass with a girlfriend many, many years ago. I was instantly hooked. Gathering information from anywhere I could, I began exploring many different techniques. Currently, I am mostly fusing glass with organic material. I like the natural and simple scapes which tend to relax the mind and crate a sense of peace. My Fern Hollow Collection is a wonderful representation of the simplistic, organic form that I aspire to share through my glass artwork.

Ceramics are another love of mine. Creating a form through touch so that it feels good in your hand or on your lips is very rewarding for me. I like exploring the many different decorating styles and firing effects on clay. I am making my way through learning all I can, partnering with masters, learning new techniques and making them my own. Hand throwing on the wheel has become one of my favorite things to do in life. A true joy.

I also lean toward the colorful sparkle of dichroic glass. All that color! I manipulate the glass and/or fire with natural elements to create a wearable piece of art at an affordable price. Spending hours making earrings in the studio is also a real pleasure for me. I hope that you can find a pair you like!

The past twenty five years have been a joy learning and creating. I have two extensive studios where I work. All items are carefully stored in glass cabinets waiting for purchase. My studios are smoke free and house kilns used for the processes. Most items are fired multiple times depending on the technique. Temperatures range over 2000 degrees for ceramics and 1500 for glass. One piece can take many firings are different temperatures just to achieve the look I am seeking. Please follow me on @northernpossessions on Instagram for shop updates.
