This is the golden oak (cat approved). This item shipped in a great container that was easy to open without scratching anything. Assembly was easy. The ship owners got our item to is quickly in spite of just having a new baby. The wood is solid and I like the workmanship/ quality. Thanks!! We love it! Ps the dimensions are perfect for a smaller living space which we appreciate.

Hi Everyone! I am so glad you found our shop! My name is Lindsay and I run Northern Wood Co. with my husband, James. Let me tell you more about us and how Northern Wood Co. was born. I am so excited for you to get to know us and the story behind our shop!!

Northern Wood Co. is more than just a furniture shop. It's a way of life. It's a lesson we want to teach our children. Its doing something for our community. It's our happiness. It gives us the time and freedom to be together, work together, and create together as a family. James & I met in 2009, married in 2011 and our family has expanded by 2 since then! We live a simple life with our daughters, dog, cat, and chickens; in an old New England farmhouse, built in 1870. In October 2013, James & I decided to create a company based on the important things in life. Inspired by the old beams and wood in our home, we wanted to work with salvaged lumber and be apart of the upcycle revolution! We want to show our children that with hard work & dedication, you can not only do anything you want to do; but you can be very happy doing it. We want to teach them that time and happiness are top priorities! We wanted to own a business that would feed our creative minds while feeding our family.

We are still a very small business, but we are growing and learning every day. We absolutely love working with our customers to design new pieces! We feel that one on one interaction with our customers is the most important part of our business. So please do not hesitate to message, email, or call us! We love hearing from you!! You inspire us and help us grow!!
James works harder than anyone I have ever seen and takes great pride in everything he does. He doesn't stop until a piece is perfect! For as long as I've known him, he has worked with his hands. He is the happiest when he is designing, creating, and building something. He is always in the workshop! He is constantly striving to be better and working harder to take our business to the next level. I am so lucky to have such a determined and dedicated husband & business partner. Our goal is for everyone of you to have one of our designs in your house.

We are big believers in carefully handcrafting our furniture to create something long lasting and totally unique! Yes, the process is not easy and definitely time consuming. But, thats what we love about it! That's what our customers love about it! We have so much fun recreating what a piece of wood can be! We think there are two very important factors in making amazing furniture! PASSION & QUALITY. We build our furniture with passion and take great care to create quality furniture out of beautiful, vintage wood. As a mother of two, it is very important to me, to have sturdy & safe furniture in my house. That is exactly what I get from the Northern Wood Co. pieces we have in our home. I am so incredibly proud to say that! The history and beauty of the wood we use just makes it even better!

We are so happy with how far we have come and look forward to achieving more of our goals this year! We are so thankful for the customers we have and we are working hard to expand our dream more and more every day!

Direct Checkout
Direct checkout is an easy and fast way to purchase items through Etsy using a credit card. When purchasing with a credit card, please make sure the billing address and phone number correctly match the information on your credit card statement. Any information that does not match, may result in a delay in your order.

Paypal is a popular form of payment that provides a safe, secure, and efficient way to purchase goods. Using Paypal makes for a much faster transaction between buyer and seller. Paypal is a convenient and private way to make real time payments using your existing financial bank account or credit cards. We charge an additional 3% fee to customers who pay with Paypal on custom orders exceeding $500.

We ship to the address on the customer's Etsy Account. If you need it shipped somewhere else, please send specific instructions to do so. 

If you reside in the Concord area of New Hampshire, you are more than welcome to pick up your item locally. We will also deliver certain items within a 30 mile radius. If you are in the area and are interested in a delivery or a pick-up, please email us to inquire more information. 

We apologize, we do not ship internationally.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please keep in mind all items made at Northern Wood Co. are made to order.
If you wish to cancel your order, orders must be cancelled within 3 business days after the order has been placed. If the cancellation request is submitted after 3 days, you will be responsible for a 30% restocking fee.

Due to the labor intensive nature of our business and products, we do not accept returns or refunds. Each item is made to order and we will only accept returns if the item is damaged; in which case we will resolve the problem by fixing the damage or replacing the item. If the item is damaged upon arrival, you must contact us within 3 days to notify us of the problem.

If you purchased a custom order or chose a finishing option; your item is not eligible for return.

Please note: Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs to return a product. The item must be packaged the same way you received it.

How to Return an Item:

Call Us at 603-496-2475 Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm Eastern Time or e-mail us at northernwoodco [!at] to discuss the return process. Repackage the items and ship the box to our address.

Additional policies and FAQs
If you would like a custom order, please inquire by contacting us. We would love to help you. 

We do not begin work on custom orders until the item is paid for.

 Once a custom listing is made, if it's not ordered and paid for within 3 days, we remove the listing and will assume you changed your mind, unless you give us a specific date as to when the order will be purchased.

We will do whatever it takes to resolve any issues that might occur with your order. However, Northern Wood Co. is not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen items. We ship our pieces securely and provide a tracking number with each customer. We will provide any additional shipping services at the cost of the buyer. Please let us know before we ship the item if you are interested in extra insurance regarding your purchase. We do our very best to be fair and to make things right for the customer if possible. We love what we do and appreciate each and every customer. If you happen to experience a problem with an order, please be patient with us. We appreciate and thank you for your understanding. 

When you message our shop, please give us up to 48 hours to respond.
