Adorable and fun, these cute mushroom lamps would make a great night light in the nursery or a child's room.

Working with pattern bars during my scrap glass challenge has allowed me to crate some truly unique pieces! Bars are created from strips of glass, fused together, then sliced thinly on the saw. Great way to use up bits and pieces!

Working with pattern bars to create one of a kind glass. After the bar is fused, it is sliced with a wet tile saw. Designs are put together, then fused for the finished piece, in this case a black lacquer jewelry box!

This is such a fun piece, perfect for the kitchen or dining room. I used a seedy glass to emulate the steam rising from the pie. Looks pretty tasty!

A look behind the scenes! The top is the set up for slumping a bowl and 8 spoon rests. The bottom is with the pre-fused glass 'blanks' in place. The kiln will slowly heat the glass to a top temperature of 1250F, and the glass will relax into the molds.

This will give you an idea how this plate was made. First the sheet, using hundreds of glass strings. Next, into a mold to fuse the cut pieces back together. Another firing to slump to shape, and voila! The holes are actually an optical illusion.

Here is another example of the stringer technique, using a gorgeous black cherry glass for accent.

This plate was created from hundreds of thin strings of glass, as shown in the bottom photo. After fusing, the glass sheet is cut into 3/8" strips, which are then laid out to form a pattern for the plate. One of a kind, and available now in my shop!
