5 out of 5 starsMy purse just arrived and I am already in love with it. It's exactly how I want and I can't wait to make it my new go too. I highly suggest getting the add-ons it's worth the extra cost! The only thing I would change is I might had rhinestones to the back too to match the front- but that's not a big deal at all. I can't express how much I truly love and recommend this product.

First book purse I sold on my Etsy shop that got me up and running!
Welcome to Novel Creations! I am happy you stopped by.
I operated a small used bookstore and with all the unwanted books being trashed, I knew I needed to come up with an idea as I kept bringing them home and piling up my personal bookshelves. A book purse idea came about using my crafting and sewing skills and it just took off from there. There were so many improvements throughout the years that I was able to finally create a simple, functional design for book lovers.
Because of my love of books, it was time to start sharing this creative bookish accessory with other book lovers and my Etsy shop was born in the year 2008.

Please contact me right away if you have any problems with an item you receive from Novel Creations. I offer refunds / exchanges within 1 week of arrival to you (except custom orders. See details below). Repairs within 30 days of arrival to you.
Your satisfaction is very important to me. I know that when ordering online, it may not be exactly the size or detail that you expected, and I totally understand this. Let's work together to create what you want, exchange an item or issue a refund. When returning your item, ship with tracking and delivery confirmation. Without this, I will not be able to issue a full refund.
If you requested Express shipping with USPS or Fed Ex, refunded shipping costs will be at First Class and ground prices only.
Many of the books are "loved" and will have some wear. I strive to purchase the best quality. Sometimes "gently used" books have such great character.

Please understand that I do not have any contractual agreement with the US Postal Service, therefore, I can not be held responsible for the actions of the US Postal Service or any post overseas. Once I mail the package, sadly I have no control over when it will be delivered.
NON DELIVERY (Lost) :
A claim will be required to be filed so it can be researched with the post office.
DAMAGES :
It is very rare that I have had any problems with damaged shipments. { knock on wood }. I can not be responsible for items damaged by the postal services. However, I will help you with these postal issues. Post office requires immediate filing of the claim with your local post office to show/verify damage. Photos will be required for proof of damage.
Some countries will not allow a claim to be filed for lost, stolen or damaged items.
RETURNED ITEMS (NON-DELIVERY, NOT CLAIMED) :
International orders - some areas will hold your package at the postal service if they could not catch you for delivery. I advise checking them quickly so they won't stamp it not claimed and send it back to me. ACK
My shipping labels are printed from the address listed directly from the Etsy order (not paypal). Orders returned have the option of being resent after return shipping costs are paid via a paypal money request. Refund can be issued for the purse cost only.

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION:
According to the First-Use Doctrine, the liability of copyright status ends after the "first sale" of book to the distributor of the book. Any subsequent items made from said book is no longer bound by the copyright laws associated with the initial distribution. Thereby craftsmen and artisans may legally use said book in any further manipulation or creation without any possible legal ramifications of said use. Therefore any use of seemingly copyright material in the creation of items by NovelCreations is legal and upheld by several notable court cases. This disclaimer is offered to clear up any possible confusion brought forth by copyright holders or their agents.
Privacy
Etsy collects all information regarding your personal information. It is passed on to my shop regarding your name, ship to address, email, item you purchased and how your monies were collected. Personal bank/credit card information is not provided to me or my shop by Etsy.
As a seller of Etsy, I am bound to follow Etsy's privacy policy in that I am not allowed to sell or share your information to 3rd parties. The only 3rd party that I will legally share your information is your shipping address if various shipping services are needed outside of Etsy's shipping program or Paypal with your email address that must be given by you directly to me for allowing me to perform special services relating to your order.

Care instructions
Being an actual book, taking the same care as you would your favorite book is the best.
Purses that are covered with a clear book cover can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. They are not water-proof.
Avoid extreme temperatures.

I select quality products to assemble my purses. Metal items, zippers, and buttons are part of these purses. These items can become dislodged or may have sharp edges. Gift wrapping and packaging
Purses are wrapped special and for gift giving.
I can add a note to your order for gifts by creating a card using the inside pages. Let me know in the "Notes to Seller" upon checkout.
There is no extra charge for standard shipping gift wrap and notes. I do offer extra special gift wrapping for a small fee if desired. Contact me for details.

I love custom orders!
You have the option of sending me your favorite book or I will obtain it for you.
Final approval for your custom order by setting up a custom listing on my site with mock photos of your handle and button choices. You will be able to review, make your selections and place your order.
Payment for custom items signifies your approval of custom item to be produced and shipped.
