Original Hand Sculpted, High-Fired Clay Creations

My store opened in March 2017. After working many years in business, I decided to follow my dream of focusing on my artwork. My studio and workshop are in Upstate New York and I have been sculpting in clay for more than 30 years. My work has been in galleries across the country and has been featured in local and national publications.
All sculptures are original and hand sculpted by me from raw high-fire clay. No molds are used. After the initial sculpt, some of these pieces cure for up to a month before being kiln fired to more than 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. After a successful kiln fire, hand painting and embellishments can take more than twenty hours per piece. Many figures then go through an additional firing process.
Waiting for the final firing is always exciting. I love opening the kiln when it's completed. It is a wonderful surprise to see a finished piece, and very rewarding when it all works out.
