I knew this little pitcher was special when I saw it-they do NOT make things of this quality anymore, and it's a joy to be able to still get them in this condition. Great item-in very nice condition- nicely packaged - this seller's logo and packaging are adorable. These ladies are highly recommended 👍🏻

About

Hi! We are the Women of O Deer—

We are three creative souls bound by blood and a common joy in the handmade, vintage and unusual. Gwen is mother to Gaia and Gramma to Kaylah.

The senior member of this eclectic group, I (Gwen) have been a crafter for many years; sewing, crocheting, doing mixed media projects on paper and the computer, as well as digital photographic and design work. Jewelry design and creation is probably my favorite creative outlet. I owned a small bead-shop at one time, and have taught classes and had my work featured in bead magazines and other publications.

Gaia, my youngest daughter is in her early twenties. She has been intensely interested in Arts & Crafts her entire life. She studied drawing and some painting in college, but her joy is sewing, both by hand and with a machine. She sketches, then creates patterns and constructs dolls, small stuffed creatures and tiny brooches, all embellished by hand with embroidery and tiny objects.

Kaylah is twenty, a budding photographer, make-up artist and vintage shopper. She also draws and has done some painting. She may not be altogether sure what direction her creative muse might carry her, but whatever she comes up with is innovative and unique.

Together we have begun a new art/lifestyle web site at http://www.o-deer.com

We are pooling our creative resources to start a shop that we hope will be fun and interesting for all sorts of folks.

  • Gwen Simmons

    Owner, Creator, Curator

I feel as if I've enough adventure and experience in this life for several lifetimes, but there is still more to come. I have had a life-long love affair with both crafting, and antiques and vintage goods. This shop is a showcase for those loves.

  • Gaia Robinette

    Owner, Creator, Designer

Gaia is soft-spoken, and those not in her inner circle seldom hear her speak at all. But she is also funny, quirky and quick to laugh. She exhibited artistic talent before she could talk, and has always had a distinctive way of looking at her world.

  • Kaylah Eaton

    Creator, Designer, Photographer

The junior member of our team is Kaylah. She is only fourteen months younger than her Aunt Gaia. This is the O Deer Woman with her well manicured finger on the pulse of the cultural zeitgeist. She adores fashion, photography and cats.

Frequently asked questions

Packaging and Shipping

Our shipping method of choice is United States Postal Service. When it is economically feasible we will send your package Priority Mail, but some items may be sent First Class or Parcel Post. I hope to offer shipping upgrades in the near future.

Like some of our products, a certain amount of our packaging will always be from recycled or re-purposed materials. This is from the standpoint of just good Green Sense, as well as an economic decision.

Our main goal is to not only attractively present our items, but to get them to you in great shape.

Handmade Dolls and Plushes

Some of the dolls and stuffies made by Gaia Robinette are primarily intended for adults and collectors over 12 years old. They are not suitable for small children as they will not stand up to vigorous play and rough handling.

Individual listings will provide more specific information as to intended users of these items

We do not recommend laundering of any of these handcrafted dolls or plush toys. Spot cleaning or gentle wiping with a damp cloth should be sufficient.
