About

Background

I have been capturing Central Texas images on film and on digital cards for over 20 years. With roots in advertising, outdoors and sports, I bring a unique vision and style that is all my own.

A life-long Central Texas resident, I received a BBA in Marketing from Baylor Univeristy in 1991. I became director of the Business Resource Center in 1999 and then became a Commercial Relationship Manager for Bank One prior to my departure for the field of full-time photography. I have since joined the Workforce Development team at Texas State Technical College.

My commercial photography days are over; however, I take particular pride in the development of my "coffee shop" fine art series of prints. These prints, available for purchase, represent the drive and the passion that defines my view of the world in which I live.

I purchased my first 35mm camera from a pawn shop in 1983. After the Vivitar screw-mount had run it's useful life, I began using a Minolta X-370 camera. That camera worked well for a while, but soon I traded up for my all-time favorite camera, a Contax RTS II Quartz with a RTW Winder. After using that camera for a four year period, I decided to invest in the Nikon line and sell the Contax system (with all of it's Carl Zeiss lenses). I've been a Nikon junkie ever since, using their digital line almost exclusively for my business. However, I still use medium format cameras (Hasselblads) for my artwork.

Gallery ONE and it's accompanying Facebook page feature images shot on film. The negatives or positives are then scanned for digital display.

Ultimately, the images will be printed by hand (in the case of black & white) or sent to a custom lab.
