I have been capturing images in Texas and the great Southwest on film and on digital cards for over 30 years. My first camera was a Vivitar 220/SL screw-mount 35mm camera that I purchased from a pawn shop when I was a senior in high school. After graduation, I got a job at a local camera store where I worked as a sales clerk. Being the low rung on the career ladder, I had to work Thursday nights at the store...when, there were literally only 1 or 2 customers that would ever come in. During those slow nights, I read books that were sold at the store about photography, art, light and fashion. After trading up from my next camera, a Minolta x370, to my first "professional" camera, a Contax RTSII with a winder along with a series of Carl Zeiss (West Germany) lenses, I began to explore landscape photography and the Zone system. I also used medium format cameras (Hasselblad and Pentax) for my artwork.

I take particular pride in the development of my Gallery ONE fine art series of prints. These prints, available for purchase, represent the drive and the passion that defines my view of the world in which I live. www.onegalleryphotos.com, it's accompanying Facebook page, Instagram feed and Etsy shop feature images only shot on film. The negatives or positives are then scanned for digital display. Final prints are digital prints on photographic paper (NO INKJET PRINTS).
