Hi and welcom!
My name is Ya’ara and I am the owner and designer behind ONE and MANY, an industrial design studio specializing in ceramics. The studio is located in Netanya, Israel, Where I live with my husband and our sweet daughter.
My work is characterized by clean, modern lines; I strive for a classic, sophisticated style with a twist. I love working with a minimal color palette: white, blue, gray and black. I always try to give my products strong elements of simplicity, and I like to search for new shapes and compositions to incorporate into my work. I’m inspired by my surroundings and special moments in the everyday. I believe inspiration is everywhere, you just need to grab it.
One of the things I love the most about working with ceramics is that I have the ability to influence and be part of every step of the creative process. All of my products are made by hand, by me. I get started by designing and planning; first I work with sketches and models made out ​​of cardboard. The next step is preparing the plaster mold and casting the final products. Once they’re dry, they go into the kiln.
I started working with ceramics while I was studying for a degree in industrial design. I knew for a long time that I wanted to have my own business, and my studio was a big dream. I opened my Etsy shop in May 2013, which was an important step. Since then, the studio has grown so much that it’s now my full-time job. Etsy gave me the amazing opportunity to go after my dreams, and I’m grateful that my products reach people all over the world.
I have many hopes and dreams for my business in the future. Working for myself and developing my own brand has given me so much joy and fulfillment. From where I am today, the sky is the limit!
