Other Peoples Polyester, colorful clothing and accessories made from vintage polyester.

大家好！I'm Malia, the youngest member of a multi-generational family. My older brothers grew up in the 1960s and 70s, and the clothing that my family wore back then greatly influences my work. The colors and textures found in vintage polyester are my obsession and I seek to breathe new life into this crazy fabric!

OPP is a one-woman enterprise that I began in 2008 in my bedroom; at the time it was called "Lady Konnyaku". I have been working in Seattle's garment industry for over a decade as a teacher at NYFA, production manager at McSology, and as a freelance pattern maker and pattern grader. Quality, interesting design, and customer satisfaction are among my highest priorities.

Many of my designs are made of a cotton or rayon knit and include vintage polyester details. Comfortable, versatile, colorful, cozy... I live in knits, I think most of us do! I pre-wash most of my fabrics to reduce shrinkage. Keep an eye out for my new styles that feature organic, grown/made in USA/eco knits.
