About OakGroveMerc

Sales 715
On Etsy since 2016

Oak Grove Mercantile was started in the summer of 2019 as a means of rehabilitation. I had just suffered from a stroke at 36 and needed something to regain dexterity in my right hand. I started devoting more focused energy into hobbies that I'd had over the years — soapmaking, wellness, herbalism, and design.

From there, it evolved into a passion project of creating wholesome products to nourish and heal. I've become so much more aware of what I put in and onto my body since making a full recovery, and I want to bring that same awareness to others in the form of thoughtfully crafted products.

Oak Grove Mercantile's mission is to create wholesome nourishing bath and body products that feed the skin.

We use rich, high-quality ingredients that offer a better alternative to commercial soaps and personal care items.

Everything is small-batch, completely unique, and prepared with intent and affection.

"The Merc" was built as something that helped me to heal, and I want to bring those same healing properties to others — whether that's with a laugh, a moment of self-care, or a bit of nostalgia.
