I hope a flute will bring as much pleasure into your life as it has mine. My experience has been that it is a very magical instrument, in that it seems to appear when one needs it most. Most of us have an innate desire to express ourselves musically. It is a wonderful way to express emotions and feelings. It is very low tech yet has the most soothing, peaceful voice, through which we can express ourselves easily. As you are playing, keep in mind that the breath is your life force and the physical expression of your feelings, so you are directly projecting yourself through this wonderful piece of wood. That is what the ancient ones had in mind when they so ingeniously created this instrument.

Play lots, have fun, let yourself go, and be creative. If you wish to share your experience with the Flute, please write. I would love to hear from you.

Additional policies and FAQs
Cedar is a softwood that easily expands & contracts. Much like redwood, it can handle atmospheric changes with minimal risk to the flute structure. Problems are rare, but I want you to understand the nature of wood. I stand behind our instruments completely. If the sound is affected by any structural defect because of checking or natural cracks, I will replace the flute within the first 30 days and repair the instrument thereafter. In case of accidental damage beyond these conditions, I will make every effort to repair it at a reasonable rate. Our flutes are designed to be enjoyed for a lifetime, if not more.

No matter what changes a flute may go through, if it retains its voice, it is an indicator that the structural integrity is solid.
