"I just finished a new batch off little blue trucks. These were out of stock for a few days until I could make some more."

Clamping the fenders in place gets a bit tricky. I want to use enough glue to hold well without any squeezing out. The glue is slippery and wants to slide around as the clamping pressure is applied. Clamps need to remain in place for at least one hour

Wooden toy wheels finished with shellac. Being prepared to mount on the car. Wheels are finished by hand using a brush and notoxic amber shellac. I apply shellac to a spinning wheel utill it will not soak up any more making a very durable finish.

Hand fitting wheels on a wooden toy hot rod car. Every wheel is carefully hand fitted and tested. If they do not roll smooth and easy. The wheels are rejected or repaired. Occasionally a toy is complete rejected because unrepairable defects are found.

A custom order in the shop ready to go. Made from pine just a bit smaller than those in the listing. When I make a custom order I always make two or more in case something goes wrong. Any extras will go into the shop to be sold or Odin gets them.

Clamps, lots of clamps. This is only a small portion of the clamps I have in my shop. Clamping a layered toy truck together requires 4 clamps. If I am making 10 trucks I need 40 clamps. Diffrent toys need diffrent clamps. Rocking horses need large clamps.

Hot Rods on the drying rack. Toys are sanded by hand between each coat of paint. Defects and roughness are removed an the toy is sprayed again until the finish is near perfect. There are always dinosaurs and dragons around to help out.

A special order I cut from pine wood recently. I can make these any size up to about 8x10 inches from many materials. Oak, poplar, and pine woods are redily avaiable. I can order most hardwoods. Halloween Jack-o-lantern Cat Bat Witch Ghost

A new car body is being sanded to rough shape using a spindle sander. Sanding machines only get you close the final sanding has to be done by hand if you wan a quality finish. Some you makers just rough them out to make them fast. I can't do that.

Some of my painted Hot Rods are made from MDF. MDF only comes in 3/4 inch thickness. Here the two half's have been cut, rough sanded, glued, and clamped. It takes a lot of clamps to do this. Three or for clamps per body to get a good fit.
