I bought these as a gift for my husband who is an avid cyclist. These feature many places he has gone on long rides and are beautiful/unique pieces of art.

About

finding inspiration with a compass

Always seeking a fun trip or adventure, the combination of used road maps and handwritten postcards featuring images of travel was a natural fit. My painted images are simple snapshots showcasing vintage materials to set a location. From acrylic and ink paintings to my jewelry line, the relics of americana are given a new life.

I always dreamed of becoming a working artist. I studied art & education at Appalachian State University and upon graduating I became an elementary art teacher. After four years, I had my daughter, quit teaching, and started painting more. While dabbling in an array of mediums and styles, I randomly began collecting vintage mementos such as maps and postcards. All of these discarded materials became my muse and the inspiration for seemingly endless ideas.

The last several years have been a dream come true, I enjoy and appreciate every opportunity along the way!
