OUR BRAND
Vera commenced training her two daughters Trina and Carly in the development of OGE’s knitting patterns, an Australian family business featured worldwide. Over the years we have produced many patterns together with some of the more recent designs produced by Trina.
We work with an amazing group of test knitters and technical editors that work tirelessly to keep our designs on track. We have every confidence in our network, and we are pleased to have gained many friendships in the process.
WHAT DOES OGE STAND FOR?
Pronounced ohgee OGE are the initials of my adorable grandchildren Oliver, Grace and Elise. The true inspiration behind all of our designs.
WHERE DID IT BEGIN ? -- INDIE DESIGNER PROFILE
Vera first established OGE Knitwear Designs in 2011, with just a few patterns being launched.
Her designs are influenced by the soft, nurturing feel of a mother’s touch, a delicate concept with a modern twist that will cater for generations to come.
Over the years, Vera gained recognition in the knitting community worldwide, and has worked tirelessly in the development of our unique brand with quality patterns.
Our designs have been test knitted & technical edited for accuracy, clarity, & fit, and every effort has been made to ensure they should not contain pattern stopping errors.
Our patterns are now available worldwide as downloadable pdf files. Patterns can be found in our shop, on Etsy, Ravelry, LoveCrafts/WEBS .
Our absolute ultimate would be to publish a few books, and also have our own brand of yarn, we adore Debbie Bliss yarn, especially Cashmerino, gives such great stitch definition.
We hope that I have produced some patterns that may inspire the young (and old) to knit. Generally our patterns are for the beginner, I have tried to keep them simple, modern and practical, with a twist of individuality.

We strongly suggest being extra careful when attaching loose items and in particular for children under the age of 3 years and/or around pets. We often suggest to our customers to explore all methods, testing and sampling before making your decision to include this feature.
Attaching a pom pom, I-cord, buttons, accessories is an individual preference and we always recommend that you carefully fasten the pom pom, securing it tightly with loose ends woven/sewn in.
LISTINGS/SAFETY STANDARDS
• Images in our listing that feature a pom pom, I-cord, buttons and/or any accessories to a garment are concepts based for older children (over 3 years) and without pets.
• It is within the interest of the knitter to explore their options when making the decision to apply accessories to garments for children – in particular, for children under the age of 3 years;
• With consideration to choking hazards for children and pets.
• Please be mindful that small objects can easily detach from garments and toys and may be considered a choking hazard for children and pets.
Please ensure you check with your Safety Standards Advisory Commission for the latest updates on safety standards when making your decision.
