Our Family :)

Author’s jewelry of Ladislav Oliva
I have found my own way of making jewelry. First inspiration for me were melted objects whose art principles could be used for jewelry.
My goal was to maximally use optical properties of glass, contrast of smooth and structural surface, lenses and sharp cuts.
To create glass stone I use different techniques: cutting, melting, pressing and slumping.
Jewelry is hanged on metal and leather. Subtle metal construction is blacked as well as leather to be in contrast with the colour of the glass.
Though the jewelry is a little art work it is thanks to this original combination of materials suitable for daily use.
With my work I sometimes get to the character of different cultures (Africa, Orient, Mexico). I search for archetypal shapes. Some jewels form the category of futuristic or even cosmic design.
As the time goes by I made over 300 shapes and countless variants of them.
I have customers all over the world and in a broad age range.

Author's jewelry by Marie Olivová
I make glass slumped jewelry of special stained glass and process it by Fusing and Tiffany technique.
From small glass pieces I compose geometric patterns and symbols in a variety of colors.
Each jewel is original by a selection of a certain color area or a drawing in the glass. By melting the glass pieces in an electric furnace I get a fine and decent rounding of edges.
I choose bead curtain color to be a part of the jewelry and make a separate object of it.
The jewelry can be complemented by earrings and a ring.

jewelry of Ondřej and Katia Olivovi
It all started in high school where we learned the technology of bonding of glass. I liked the interconnection of colors. jewelry shows my tendency to technical sense. Due to the cooperation with Káťa the character of the jewelry also changes. This created a different category of jewelry (Iris). To the character of cut glass I chose stainless steel. For the hanging, the skin has proven to be the best and it is in contrast to the glass and even to the metal. My speciality is the "KOSMOS" category of jewelry. These are the most complex jewels that are made of more pieces of cut glass.

Kateřina Pflipsen Olivová
She has been expressing artistically since early childhood. She drew sensitively, with a great sense of detail. Káťa has strong relationship to nature. Her inspiration comes from microworlds, structures and textures.
She made already her own way during her studies. She converted natural graphic principles to objects and jewels using wire and tin. She made complex structures that way. often lace-like.
At school she met Steve Pflipsen, a trainee.
In 2006, they married and traveled to the United States. Together, they devoted themselves to artwork professionally and worked together.
Today they live in Alaska where they have their own gallery.

Tereza Mušková Olivová
During her studies at both schools she worked with a relief. Since childhood she tends towards Eastern philosophies. He is working with both of them now. He creates jewels with semi-precious stones, to which she builds a relief with an esoteric theme.
After ten years of work, she has a range of customers who are rapt by her sensitivity. Her jewels often become personal amulets. jewelry on demand forms a large part of her work.
