Original Cat Masterpieces

As a crazy cat lady, photographer, and graphic designer, creativity and kitties are close to my heart. When I joined the cat Instagram community in October of 2014 with my cats Olive & Rye @oliveandrye, I was inspired to start drawing some of the feline beauties that I saw in my feed every day. Requests started to pour in, so it seemed like a good idea to open a shop and I did so in January 2015. Every portrait is one-of-a-kind, custom drawn in Adobe Illustrator by me, Laura Kicey. You can find more of my cat art on my art instagram @oliveandryecatart or my website oliveandryecats.com

A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Philly PAWS, the wonderful no-kill shelter from which both Olive & Rye were adopted.

My aim is to create a whimsical and stylized portrait of your cat that captures their personality in a fun and colorful way. Please have a look at the sample portraits to get a sense of the style I work in and see if it appeals to you. All portraits are custom drawn to order using Adobe Illustrator.

While I do use your photos for reference, I often make some creative choices and alterations to help capture the spirit of your kitty. Depending upon how many orders are in the queue, it can take a few weeks before you receive a proof of your portrait. Once you receive the proof, I can then work with you if you would like to see any changes made from there, with additional proofs thereafter until approved. Once approved I will send you your final digital file to post to social media and have your print made and shipped to you.
