I have incredibly sensitive skin, and pure Castile Soap is the only thing I can use to wash it. Of all of the Castile Soaps I have used; this one by far is the most decadent and creamy. It feels very luxurious on my skin, and so far...no allergic reactions! I plan on being a customer for a long time because I don't intend on using any other soap ever again.

Loved this bath bomb. I've tried several from Olive St. Mercantile, now, and I have such a hard time deciding on a favorite. Luckily, they're affordable enough that I can get several and look forward to a lovely bath anytime. My skin always feels so soft after using one of these bath bombs due to the fabulous essential oils blended into each one. Love, love, love them!

Simply amazing. I know there are some people out there who love to do laundry. I am definitely NOT among them. However, since I started using this laundry soap, I do genuinely love starting the laundry, at least. This laundry powder smells so inviting! I do love, though, that the scent is just in the wash; the laundry doesn't come out smelling of the soap scents - a huge plus in my house where scented products aren't well tolerated. Everything just comes out smelling fresh and looking clean.

This is the 2nd or 3rd bar of this I've ordered. It lasts me months and months, and it's amazing on my skin. Very gentle, no residue. I've given this bar as a gift to several people, as well - always rave reviews!

The scent of this bath bomb is so lovely - and my skin feels amazing after using one of Olive St. Mercantile's bath bombs. I don't often take the time for a bath, but now that I have several of these bath bombs, I make the time!

These hand crafted soap products are "First Class" and our guests commented on the natural scents as her wares. Maximum effort is afforded the client to get the soaps to them on time for a party or just personal use. A real pleasure to do business. A million thanks! Best, Robert

About

Olive Street Mercantile Soap Co. combines a passion for old world crafts and the science of herbal skincare.

Olive Street Mercantile Soap Co. was born out of a love for rustic utilitarian art, herbal remedies and natural skincare preparations. Founded in 2013, OSM Soap Co. blends old world craft and a new world need for healthy, useful and beautiful products.
I have always been a maker. Whether sewing clothes for kids, painting, or throwing mugs and bowls at the pottery studio, I always keep my hands busy. So in 2008, when we moved our family to a small olive orchard, I began to think of what I could make with olive oil. After some initial research, I was entranced by the process of making olive oil soap. Eventually, I began to formulate my own recipe using olive oil, coconut oil and hand-rendered tallow. Soon after, and through this process, I developed a passion for the art of scent combining.

I take my inspiration from the beautiful mountains, forests, streams and various ecosystems around Mt. Shasta and Shasta County where I live. This is gold country, and the era of gold mining, pioneering and homesteading holds a special fascination for me. In the old mining towns the mercantile was the general store. It was a place full of household staples, tools, fabric, hats, medicine and candy…and a few little luxuries like perfume and soap.

Like the pioneer women of old, I hand render the tallow that goes into many of my soaps. Many of the herbs and flowers that are added for beauty are grown in my garden. And, like the ancient soap makers of the Mediterranean, I offer a bar made exclusively with olive oil pressed from olives in my orchard. Welcome to the Mercantile...enjoy the soap!

I am a homeschooling mom, lover of nature and all things handmade. My soaps are inspired by the beautiful place I live in, and the olive oil that comes from our orchard. I have been making soap since 2011.
