About

Letterpress in sunny St. Pete, FL established 2010

I fell in love with letterpress as soon as I saw it. I was a Creative Writing undergrad in 2009, disinterested in the mainstream world of publishing. In typical me-fashion, after a weekend introduction workshop, I jumped head first into the world of letterpress and purchased a Chandler & Price tabletop platen press and few drawers of type. I worked fervently out of my parents' garage, teaching myself what not to do, printing ephemera for friends and family and local businesses. Flash forward to 2016: I co-founded Print St. Pete Community Letterpress, a collaborative print studio where we offer workshops, classes and studio rental. It's incredible to see that same spark in my students' eyes when they see the process of letterpress printing for the first time. I opened this Etsy shop back in 2010, originally selling handmade recycled notebooks and some of my very first cards. Today, Oma Darlin Press features greeting cards, prints, coasters, and gift tags, that I am thrilled to share with you. I hope that my work inspires you to send a hand written note, and to keep the power of print and snail mail alive! Additional policies and FAQs
My letterpress prints celebrate the process by which they were made. Each card is fed into the press by hand, and printed using antique wood and lead type, so some irregularities may occur print to print. However, I strive to create a clean, crisp impression. Depending on the paper and materials used, the depth of the impression may vary. In addition, ink is mixed by hand, so colors may very slightly.
