5 out of 5 starsBag is much nicer than the photos show. It expands nicely to carry lots of things, and the leaf colors are rich. Thanks for the fast shipping, too!

About OnSiletzBay

We fulfilled a dream by moving to the beautiful Oregon coast, and our home is located just steps from Siletz Bay.

Its so wonderful to have a space to make a mess, especially with dyes and fabric.

The many moods of the Bay, and the ocean beyond, influence my color choices and designs.

I sold my first craft products in the early 1980s, when my son was just a baby. In 1985 I did my first juried Arts & Crafts Fair, when my daughter was less than a year old. This led to a number of years traveling to craft shows in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and California. Packing up the kids, sometimes even the dog, in a huge old station wagon our family spent summers often camping and doing shows every summer weekend. Along the way we made time for visiting parks and museums, and met wonderful artists.
During those years my work included dyeing, fabric painting, batik, tie-dye, silk-painting and even some beadwork. In the mid-90s I moved to Eugene to attend the University and added weaving to my bag of tricks, eventually getting a degree in Fine Art with a Fiber focus.
With all of the fiber techniques I've played with, dyeing has been the one that remains closest to my heart. Now that my serious crafting and selling years have slowed down, I am happy to return to watching the magic of white yarn or cloth being transformed in the dye bath.
