From a little cottage in the English countryside, my creative story started just over two years ago.

Having left behind a career in antiques and interiors in London, I found myself in a little, sleepy corner of Dorset with two children, a foraging chef husband and countless chickens, not to mention the cat! I took up crochet alongside rekindling my love for knitting and sewing. I soon started making up my own patterns and crocheting apple cosies for the children's teachers as 'thank you' gifts. One thing led to another, the cosies featured on the cover of the first issue of Mollie Makes magazine and I haven't stopped crocheting since! Apple cosies have been crocheted all over the world using my pattern and my first book of patterns 'Simple Crochet' was published in September 2012. Meanwhile, I still love making clothes for my kids, crocheting gifts for friends and selling any extras online through my Etsy shop. I also love writing freelance patterns and columns for craft titles (I'm currently writing for 'Inside Crochet').

Hello & welcome to OneChurchillsGreen. I'm one of those girls who can't sit still, so to keep me from mischief I sew, knit & crochet. My inspiration comes from those around me & the beautiful colours & textures of the yarns, linens & cottons I stumble across. The more natural the better. Whether it's slow food or slow craft, I believe if something is worth doing it's worth investing time & love in.
