My Story

Daydreamer kid, turned hairstylist, turned stay at home mama, turned t-shirt artist.
..........................................................................................................................................

I've always worked in a creative field. Fresh out of high school and most of my 20's, I churned out pinup styles and rock and roll haircuts working as a hair stylist through out Portland, OR and Las Vegas, Nevada. After the birth of my first child in 2008, I was ready for a shift. My family and I had just moved into our dream home in the country where inspiration was abundant. I found myself fantasizing about a way to stay home, make art, and sell it. In 2008 I quit my job doing hair in the city to focus on being at home with my baby, and try selling my art. To make a living selling my creations seemed like such a far fetched idea at the time (not to mention I hadn't even settled on what I'd make yet!), but I was determined. I could feel it in my bones that this was the right path for me. The next few years were a journey of dabbling in different mediums, trying out small craft shows, and learning my way around the internet. In 2011, having gained more confidence and carrying a few more business savvy skills -- I opened One Lane Road. I had only learned to screen print two months prior (thanks to You Tube!), but I was really excited and knew I had finally stumbled onto something good. I was ready to shine! I started with just a couple hand printed towels, and quickly expanded to selling graphic tee's, more housewares, and accessories.

One Lane Road has been an amazing outlet for me over the past few years. I've been able to stay at home with my babies, help support my family, and create art everyday! The doors that have opened because of it are amazing too. Magazine features, published interview in a ebook, shirts used in the making of a film and TV show, teaching screen printing and leather crafting at a dreamy women's art retreat in Texas...The connections I've made along the way have been life changing. I have to pinch myself sometimes that this is my job. I feel very lucky, and absolutely love what I do!

Dreams do come true.
