How One Memory Lane was created
My story began right after high school. I went to college for business administration while I was working a full time job as a lot boy in a dealer ship. I was only 18 at that time but I do realized I was good with my hands and asked for a chance to learn and fix cars. The dealership decided to send me to mechanic school so for some time I was going to 2 different schools plus a full time job. Eventually I became a mechanic and finish my bachelors in Business Administration as well. After 13 years of working at the dealership they closed the dealer. I felt lost because I didn't know what to do at that point, I had a bachelors degree and also experience fixing cars but by then I had a wife and 3 kids and didn't know how I was going to provide for them.
After going looking for jobs and going to multiple interviews I realized I wanted to show my kids that dreams do come true if we work hard so I combined my abilities plus what I learned in college and formed One Memory Lane. I started transferring pictures from a piece of paper to pieces of wood. It was a good idea and people loved it but unfortunately it was not providing enough to support my family so I changed my product and I'm very happy I did. Now I transfer images to metal (stainless steel, gold, rose gold, sterling silver etc).
I love what I do and most importantly I have shown my 3 little kids that life is not easy but there is always a reward for those of us who never give up and work hard.
