Selling Lights with Timers since 2009

I pack and ship lights to customers every day during the year. When I first started this business lights were mainly for Christmas, and I saw very little interest from January through September. Now, these lights are used for many things, but they have become particularly popular at weddings. In fact, I developed the small 10-LED lights specifically for brides to help keep their costs down. My daughter recently got married, so I appreciate how expensive everything can be. The factory thought that I was a bit crazy trying to create a light for under $2, but we did it, and they are happy that they listened to me. Now, everyone seems to offer these lights.

I do the majority of my products in components. That gives my customers some flexibility to create products that they want. They can add to existing pieces or create combinations that just don't exist elsewhere.

I will continue to listen to your suggestions, and I will continue to work on my products to offer you the best lighting supplies in the business.

Welcome to OneStepTimers. We have been providing high-quality LED lights with built-in timers since 2009. We are constantly improving our product. Not all fairy lights are equal. We do our very best to provide you with the best looking wire, the best looking lights, and range of power options that just are not provided elsewhere.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
One Step Timers makes every effort we can to make sure that our customers are satisfied with our products. If you are not satisfied with our products for any reason, you may return the product for a refund or replacement. Please note the following conditions.

Defects must be noted within 14 days of arrival.

Notify us by phone or convo if you would like to return any product. (Phone: 662-322-6529) We will make notes in our system. No return authorize number is required.

Shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping charges are your responsibility. We will advise you on the best return method.

If items are deemed to be defective, we will refund your return shipping if the shipping is done by the method we advised.

If you refuse delivery of your order, shipping charges that we incur will not be refunded. We may charge a small restocking fee. The restocking fee will usually be less than 10% and will never be more than 15%.

No returns will be accepted after 30 days of delivery.
Payment
We accept Paypal, Credit Cards, and Etsy gift cards at our shop. We ship 6 days a week. During Christmas season, we ship 2 times each work day and once on Saturday. Our pick-up for Postal Orders is at 10 am. Orders placed before that time will go out for this pick-up. During Christmas season, orders placed between 10 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday will be delivered to the Post Office that evening. Saturday cutoff for shipments in noon on Saturday at all times of the year.

Sales tax is only charged to residents of Mississippi. If you live outside of the USA, you may be subject to Duties and Taxes. These fees are your responsibility.

We ship quickly. If you place and order and then want to cancel it, you can, but you need to do so quickly. If you cancel after an order is shipped, you will be responsible for return shipping, and your shipping will not be refunded.
Shipping
We usually ship orders the day we get them. The pricing on each item is for USPS shipping. Items under 16 ounces will ship First Class. (For International Packackes, the First Class limit is 2 lbs.) All other packages will ship Priority Mail. Most of the US is covered in 2 to 3 days with First Class and Priority Mail shipping, but this is not a guaranteed delivery service. If you need guaranteed delivery time, send us a message, and we can give you a quotation for FedEx Home Delivery, Ground, or Air shipping.

We have insurance for lost packages and mis-delivered packages that cannot be recovered. Insurance does not cover packages that are delivered to the correct address. Shipping services no longer cover stolen packages. If a package is missing, contact us as soon as possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
When buying batteries, it is best to purchase brand name alkaline batteries for the longest burn time. Rechargeable batteries discharge constantly, so they are not recommended for this type of application.

Do not purchase batteries that are designed for long shelf life. (For example, Quantum) "Longest lasting" does not mean that it will operate these lights for the longest time. It means that they will last the longest when not in use.

Don't pay extra for lithium batteries. They are good for digital cameras and other devices that use a lot of power in a short burst, but not for these types of lights that draw low power steadily over a period of time.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, contact us, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly do you ship orders?

If an order comes in before pick-up, we ship the same day. USPS pick-up is at 10 am Central Time M-F. FedEx pick up is 4 pm Central Time M-F. We make a delivery to the post office every Saturday for orders placed after pick-up on Friday.
During Christmas season, we have the USPS pick up in the morning and deliver a second batch to the Post Office later that evening.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. We have special rates for one-time large orders and for regular orders for stores and crafters. If you cannot find what you need in the shop, send me a convo.

Can you provide a brief description of the various power options?

We have a lot of power options for your lights. AA Battery Pack, Waterproof AA Battery Pack, C Battery Pack, Waterproof Battery Pack, Rechargeable Battery Pack, USB Input, 110V Plug-in, and Solar-powered Battery Pack.

AA batteries are common. They are small are easy to hide. If you are working with a small set of lights, these packs are good options.

C and D batteries provide 5 to 10 times as much battery life, but the larger packs are more difficult to hide.

Solar Packs and Power Banks are both rechargeable battery packs. The solar pack requires sun light to recharge. The power bank is plugged into a wall socket.

110V is for US and Canadian markets. Other countries can use our USB input to create a local plug-in option.

What options do you offer for Fairy Lights?

Length: We offer lights from 20 inches long up to 300 feet long.

Color: We offer all options with silver or copper wire. (Because the lights reflect off of the metal, the copper lights are considered "warmer".)

LED Color: Most of our lights are warm white. We offer cool white in only a few products. We offer red, green, blue, and pink LEDs in our short length products.

Options: We offer fairy lights in ribbons and fairy lights wrapped with twine.
