Crafted in the Craft for Crafters

I've been a witch since 1964, a pagan group leader & cleric since 1981, a Wiccan initiate since 1996, and a Wiccan elder since 2001. Having founded two covens in my time, taught hundreds of students, and brought in my share of initiates, last year I retired from coven leadership but not practice. I am also a lifelong crafter, learning to knit, embroider, & weave in my childhood, learning clothing construction in my youth, and textile history technology beginning at 15.

In Clotho's Cloaks, I make & sell two designs of everyday outerwear: Cowled Capes, with hip length simplicity, and Hooded Cloaks, for full length coverage. I began constructing medieval (8th to 13th century) garments before 1980. Patterns do not exist for an Anglo-Saxon tunic, or Norman bliaut & corsage; I learned to draw my patterns right on the fabric, and over time, to simplify even further, using the basics of solid geometry (of the human body) in combination with the historic practices of folkwear. For ecological and magical reasons, I use only natural fiber fabrics in the garments I sell—wool, silk, cotton, linen. Pendleton® wool in particular being a favorite. Silk noil fabric (raw silk homespun) is a second choice, for those who cannot tolerate wool, and for those who object to the killing of silkworms for silk (it uses the post-emergent cocoons as fiber source).

In the section of Goddess Gemstones, I use semi-precious gemstone beads & silk bead cord to make unique unbroken (without clasp) bead necklaces (with or without pendant) as prescribed by my Tradition of witchcraft in honor of the Goddess.

Sennight Spell-things—deity requests and my magical sensibilities led me to make incenses, Elixure™ condensers, and oils for each of the traditional seven days of the week, or seven stars in the sky—for use in magic and ritual and witchy practice.

Everything I list for sale is completed and ready to ship before I list it.
