Such prompt and efficient service and beautifully packaged with fine attention to detail. The family were truly delighted with the gift of these shoes and the ethical values underpinning the whole project.
Beautiful babywear that changes lives
I love the way children explore the world, I've always loved shoes, and I have been sewing since I was a child. That's how Oppi originally came together.
I started Oppi because I wanted to have more fun and be more creative. My previous trips to poverty-stricken Mozambique had also really impacted me. So I decided to do something that would make a difference to the lives of others. Every item sold supports family-centred childcare in Mozambique via the charity Tutela Africa.
Since starting Oppi I have learnt more about the problems in the textile industry; about where our fabrics are produced and the amazing people who weave them. That's why all Oppi babywear is made from Organic, Fairtrade and upcycled fabric.
Taking even the basic of clothing styles, I seek to refine them to make them better. All Oppi patterns have been developed by myself and tested on babies. Every product is handmade with care, because it’s about beautiful details, even when they are hidden.

Oppi baby shoes have been wash tested during design development and we are happy to let you pop them in the washing machine with your other cotton garments.
Think about the environment. Only wash when needed, 30degrees is sufficient. Let fresh air do the drying and a medium iron will work just fine.
These are wool, and should be sponge-cleaned only. They are dinky enough, we wouldn't want them shrinking!
A gentle wipe should be fine
