Announcement   To be completely honest, sometimes we do not have an ETA for ya. We get a lot of orders. We want to stay small! That means we take longer than the big guys. We do everything ourselves. We own the business and we do all of the work to ensure quality and love. Amazing things happen to those who wait! Our projected processing time ranges from 2 months to 6 months. Each listing says what to expect and that is just an estimate! Our entire business is ran by 2 people. Randall does all of the building and Christy does all of the finishing and shipping. Sometimes we do encounter delays.

We are a tiny operation. When ordering our furniture, if it is not marked as an "IN STOCK" item, it can take 60 days or 90 days or more depending on the item. We are very popular and we build every item by hand. We cannot ship made to order furniture right away. We have to build it first and we always have at least 100 orders in line.

Everything is made to order unless it is in our "ready to ship" section. Each item states in the description what the turn around times are. Please read carefully :) All turn around times are just an estimate, because we get many orders daily, it is really hard to keep up with the correct estimated ETA's. We always ship orders as quickly as we can. You won't hear any silly excuses. We will be honest when you contact us for an ETA.

Because everything we build is made to order and most of it is custom, it is very difficult to determine how long orders will take. Because we are so busy building and shipping orders, we cannot always send order updates, so please do contact us if you would like to know the ETA of your order. I will always respond to emails immediately. I may not always have an ETA yet but I will do my best to keep you informed.

Our custom built hand made furniture is worth the wait! Sure you can go buy something now from a store but that just isn't nearly as special.

The table is very well made. The stain is beautiful. I needed this for an odd space and it fits nicely. I would definitely recommend this seller and their products.

OrWa Designs was terrific to work with; their communication was prompt and reliable, and our table arrived on time in good condition. We appreciated the ongoing conversation throughout the process. We like the look of our midcentury coffee table, however the wood stain/wood grain are not as we had hoped. We were looking for a true midcentury walnut; the wood grain is quite prominent and the stain quite dark. It does not match the midcentury walnut wood on the other pieces in our family room. The shape of this table exhibits midcentury form, but the color of the wood detracts from the midcentury appeal. Perhaps buyers should request wood samples to help ensure what is pictured online is consummate with buyers' intent? Thanks!

This customer ordered solid pine and pine will not look like walnut wood. We are very sorry for any confusion. We do offer pine, poplar, oak and bamboo. Poplar has more of a walnut grain, but it does cost more than pine, however it is cheaper than walnut. Pine is our lowest price and is the most popular choice. 99% of our customers choose pine. It makes gorgeous solid wood furniture that is made to last and it's easy on the wallet. If anyone needs help choosing a wood type or finish color, send us photos of your furniture and we can help you pick out the perfect fit for your space :)

When you shop with us you really shop small!

We are a super tiny furniture company! It was not easy when we first started this business. We lived in a small 2 bedroom house 800 sq ft house. No garage, no shop, no covered patio or work space. We turned our 2nd bedroom into a wood shop and as our sales increased, our entire house became a wood shop. Coffee tables lined the kitchen counters. The living room was a shipping area. Eventually we were able to afford a tuff shed out back to work in. That was a tight space but at least we had our 2nd bedroom back! Removed dust from the walls and ripping out the floor to replace it. Not many can say they had a table saw set up in their bedroom.

Thanks to all of our loyal customers, we were able to purchase a home with a real workshop space! We now have a home on 1/2 acre with a workshop.

How did we start this business? We started out fixing up old furniture and giving it a new life, as a hobby on the weekends. When we both lost our jobs we had more time to get more creative. We started transforming antique sewing machine tables into gorgeous one of a kind laptop desks. Once those were becoming more difficult to find we moved on to mid century style furniture as we began to love and admire the style. Such amazing style they had back then! We shopped at garage sales and estate sales looking for mid century tables to refinish and sell. That also became difficult to find at affordable prices. Mid Century furniture is not easy to find at an affordable price!

So, finally we decided to attempt actually building the furniture ourselves. We started out with a tiny little record player cabinet and a bookcase that we picked up for $4 at a garage sale and based those items on our construction. We added our own style and a modern touch and created a design of our very own.

After the first few pieces sold on Etsy (that did take a while) we started getting requests for other things. TV stands, desks, nightstands, etc.... Now we have a huge line of furniture that we offer in custom sizes and colors! Our customers love us and we love our customers! We are so excited to have accidentally fallen into this business and we are so lucky that we found something we are both great at. We never imagined our new career would be our own business building hand crafted custom furniture. It is a dream come true. This is a stressful business but also very satisfying that our designs and creations are enjoyed in homes and offices all over the world.

Full payment is due at time of order placed. We accept credit cards via Etsy direct checkout and PayPal. Your credit card will be charged at the time of the order. Washington state shoppers will be charged sales tax.

Shipping
Please allow 2 to 6 months. Each item says how long it can take. We are very popular and very small!

We really appreciate your patience while we work hard building your custom orders. Sometimes there's unexpected delays, we always have over 100 orders in line but we work very hard to get our furniture orders out to you in a timely manner. We do our best to keep you updated during the order process. If you feel you have not been properly updated, we sincerely apologize. We are working so hard getting orders built, packaged up and shipped we don't always take the time to send out personal individual emails but we will always respond immediately to your emails. Feel free to check up on you order any time! There's only 2 of us and we work super hard for you!

If you are local and would like to pick your order up, use this coupon code during checkout: FREELOCAL If you use this code, you will pick up your item once it is finished. We will contact you when it is ready for pickup.

In the order notes please specify if you want a signature required for delivery or no signature. If you require a signature, leave your phone number for the fedex driver. For items valued over $500 fedex does require a signature. If you want your item left at your door and it is valued higher than $500 we will have to value the insurance at $499 in order for it to be left. They do require a signature for items valued $500 or more. If you do not specify a signature, we will not require a signature by default.

Shipping rates posted are for all 48 states. Contact us for AK or HI or any international shipping.

Shipping dates and turn around times are just an estimate! It is very difficult to predict an exact shipping time as we get several orders in at random times and everything is customized. We can't predict how many orders we will be getting in a certain amount of time. Please be patient, we will get your furniture order out as soon as we can. We work really hard to get orders out as fast as we can. We like to build quickly but still keep our high quality.

We will always ship internationally, so contact us for a quote to your country! Our shipping rates do NOT include your duties and taxes to ship into your country. You are responsible for paying any fees.

We ship via FedEx and package very well so your furniture can arrive safely and free of damage. If damage does occur (it does not happen often), notify us immediately with photos of every angle. We are not responsible for damage but will do everything we can to work with you to file a fedex insurance claim and damage results in a partial refund or replacement of the item, depending on the circumstances. All shipments are insured, please report damage immediately. If too much time goes by the damage claim may not be approved.
Refunds and Exchanges
We try to avoid cancelations so please make sure you are willing to wait for your order before purchasing. We build as quickly as we can while keeping our quality standards at the highest levels. We receive new orders daily so ETA's are very difficult to provide. We do our best to build and ship in a timely manner :)

Please contact us before writing a review if you are unhappy with your purchase. Each transaction is handled on a case by case basis. Please leave us a positive review if you are happy with your purchase and we love happy customer photos! Your satisfaction is very important to us. We have a 5 star rating and work very hard to maintain that.

Furniture often cannot be returned due to it's size and shipping costs. We will do our best to make sure you are satisfied with your OrWa furniture.
Additional policies and FAQs
Our coffee tables are not for sitting on. It is sturdy and made of solid wood but the leg mounting brackets are not meant for extreme weight. All of our furniture has specific uses. TV stands can hold large TV's and electronic equipment. Coffee tables are for placing small items on, resting legs or feet on, drinks, etc.... but not for sitting. The leg mounting brackets cannot handle the weight of a person. If you want to use our furniture for sitting, please ask for cleats as a leg mounting option.

When moving your furniture, always pick it up and move. More than 1 person will be required for moving larger pieces. Sliding furniture across the floor when it has weight on it, will result in leg brackets breaking. We are not responsible for damage or injury in result of placing too heavy of objects on your furniture, sitting on your furniture or sliding your furniture without lifting it up.

Custom and personalized orders

We love custom orders! Send us a message with what you want and if we can build it, we will! Send photos, drawings, dimensions, etc....

Care instructions

We use non toxic water based polyurethane to finish our furniture. This provides a smooth finish that brings out the beauty in the wood and is best for standing up to moisture. Simply wipe clean with a water damp rag or use wood cleaner, such as Murpheys orange or Method almond wood cleaner.

What if my shipment arrives damaged?

All shipments are insured. Any damage claims will be handled on a case by case basis. If your furniture does arrive damaged, take photos right away and notify us. Repair kit, partial compensation, full compensation or a replacement will be issued, depending on the circumstances. Damage is rare, we do package very well.

What wood types do you use?

We offer 4 different wood types. Solid Bamboo, Solid Pine, Solid Poplar and Solid Oak.

Pine is the most affordable. It makes beautiful long lasting furniture and has been used for making furniture for hundreds of years. Pine is our top seller!

Newly offered! Bamboo is fantastic! It's not super expensive, it's harder than hard wood, nearly water resistant and is gorgeous! Stains and finishes beautifully.

Poplar is a great medium hard wood for a great price. It has beautiful exotic wood grain patterns and colors. It makes gorgeous high quality furniture that won't totally bust your wallet.

Oak is our most expensive option. It is a very hard wood and has a very prominent grain pattern. Bamboo is harder than oak.

ETA's and Turn Around Time

Our turn around times can vary. We continue to receive new orders daily. It can be difficult to determine when your order will ship but we do our best to keep it around 30 to 45 days for smaller items and around 60 days for larger items. Sometimes we encounter delays, as we are only human. You are welcome to check in with us regarding your order and we might be able to provide an ETA. We promise to ship all orders as soon as we can. No slacking here! :)

What is your return policy?

In the furniture business, returns are more difficult. Furniture is large, fragile and difficult to package. We can accept returns on legs, since they are easy to package and do not damage in shipping.

If you are unhappy with your furniture order, please contact us. We handle unsatisfactory situations on a case by case basis. We want you to be happy with your purchase!
