The story behind Oracles of Norway
Annette Laurenze is the founder of Oracles of Norway. She has a background as a nurse, writer, and artist, and is based in Stavanger, Norway. Her passion for art, design, and spirituality has led her to create oracle cards that inspire and support people on their personal and spiritual journeys.
Before turning to oracle cards, she created art cards (greetingcards) based on her own original paintings. Her journey with oracle cards began in 2017, when she experienced a powerful inner impulse to channel. Almost overnight, her first deck, Spiritual Awakening, was born. The deck quickly became popular, and since then she has created six more oracle decks, each with its own unique theme, vibration, insight, and depth.
Annette’s cards come to life in a very special way: through channeling, intuition, and an almost alchemical creative process that has surprised and touched many. In 2023, she moved to Lofoten in Northern Norway, where she was guided to create, Light from the North, perhaps her most beloved deck, filled with Nordic symbols, messages, and spiritual wisdom. Her time in Lofoten had a profound impact on her life, bringing both spiritual breakthroughs and deep personal challenges.
Since then, Annette has also created a seventh deck in collaboration with 58 women from all across Norway: artists, photographers, and everyday women with meaningful stories and messages to share. So far, three of her decks have been physically printed in english and are available for purchase, and her vision is to bring all of them into print over time.
Annette has a deep love for art, especially painting. Her visual work has a distinctive style, often marked by structure, strong colors, and intuitive expression. She draws inspiration from nature and always works from a place of inner guidance. In addition to her visual art, she shares deeper insights through writing and books. Her first book, *Shakti*, was released in February 2026 and tells the story of her spiritual journey.
Spiritual philosophy is an important part of Annette’s life. She has a particular fascination with Vedanta and Indian philosophy, where she finds inspiration, deeper understanding, and pathways for spiritual growth. Hiking in the mountains has also been a major source of inspiration, and in recent years she has developed a strong connection to Lofoten, a place that continues to shape both her art and her spiritual work. And will be her residence for the next year.
All of her decks Are available in her Oracle App: Oracles of Norway. In english language.
