About Ortmann Woodcraft

Located in Patton, Missouri, Ortmann Woodcraft is our family owned business started in 2013 that sells 100% hand-crafted wood products. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction, so if something is not right, please let us know. Our goal is for each of our customers to be happy when they see their Ortmann Woodcraft purchase.

You will be dealing with us directly. We design and make all the products, manage our online stores and sites ourselves, deal with all sales processes and answer all phone calls/emails personally. We gather most of the wood from local farms or from farmers whose trees have fallen or are being removed. We even recycle abandoned wood fence posts. Our exotic woods come from sustainability harvested trusted sources.

Our satisfaction comes from seeing you enjoy our quality, hand-crafted wood products.

About the Craftsmen

One of the best things in life is the satisfaction that comes with making something functional out of a piece of wood. The smells, colors and feel of the wood as it transforms from a branch to a cutting board confirms that quality wood crafting is my calling!

While I love physically making pens and cutting boards, my wife (an artist) does a lot of the designing of our products. Together, we enjoy creating masterpieces that are functional and usable art! Some of our best products come from inventive ideas that grew out of our combined (sometimes crazy - see our Crazy Cutting Boards) ideas! While our shop bunnies keep us company, we work together to create one-of-a-kind wood products for you. We hope you enjoy the products as much as we enjoy making them.
